for context, my main has over 500 followers and we’re inching closer to 600. i wouldn’t say i was “famous”, but i’d say i was still well-known?? however, when my account was fairly new, i had a lot of friends who i actively displayed on my profile. none of them talk to me anymore. i talk to them, they just reply to me dryly and don’t respond after i say ‘hru’. but the second they see i removed them from my friend banner, they come crawling back and all of a sudden they aren’t dry anymore. don’t be a clout chaser, and become friends with someone for who they are, not for the amount of follows they have. i don’t really talk to those people anymore but once again, don’t talk to someone or try to become friends with them for the amount of fame they have in the comm, become friends with them for their personality and their tastes. don’t become friends with someone if you know you can’t keep up with them.
