He lived a normal life until the barn flooded during a storm and his mother fell over and *****kicked the bucket. After that his owner sold him because he couldn't bear the thought of having him as a memory of is d3ad mother. So at the age of 2 he traveled to a trainer and was left in a back paddock and forgotten for an entire year. when the trainer finally trained him at three Thunder was in a terrible condition and the trainer used some abusive methods of training. after Thunder bucked him off he was put back in the paddock and left there for a couple of years. when he turned 5 he was sold again to a horse collector who collected horses of different breeds for display and breeding. he had a Marwari, Shire, Connemara, Arabian, and Quarter Horse already. he was left in a stall 24/7 and only brushed and fed and had his stall mucked twice a week so that others could come and admire the horses. but one day a person came and noticed something wrong with all the horses (at the time had grown to over 30) and called a horse rescue to save them. he was taken to Mountain Valley Sanctuary after he had been fed so he wasn't malnourished.
