~Ela was a young girl (9) when Fire lord Ozai was ruler and she had often dreamed of the moment when her father would come back. unfortunatly, when he did come back he had serious injuries from the "raid" on the solar eclipse. Ela had stayed by his bedside until the end, she was devistated for years. Her mother was also torn apart, and when the water tribes where rejoicing with pleasure over Lord Ozai's defeat, she barly took part. Her mother, when Ela was 13, became sick from depression and lived for two more years until she pecefully passed in her sleep. Ela did have a sister named Sarah, but Sarah had run as far as she could when she heard mother was sick. as Ela grew she held resentment in her heart, and it seemed that every year she grew angrier and angrier. Her Grandma had seen her anger and talked to her on a daily basis. together the two women grew and Ela had controlled her resentment. When Ela was 18 she walked into her Grandma's hut to talk to her, and found green earth kingdom dresses and robes all over the floors. Ela was in shock as her "Grandma" walked in. Ela had a horrible fight with her and realized her "Grandma" wasn't her Grandma, but an old widow seeking a new life. her "Grandma" had adopted her mother when her mother was abandoned in an attack. Ela's Grandma had been in the area to watch out for an old friend, but she had then heard the baby's desperate screams and saved her, and explained to the chief at that time and was soon acepted as one of thier own. Ela had felt horrible at her attacking her "Grandma" that she had sworn to be as kind as she could be. at that moment she decided she could only trust the earth kindom, and the water tribes. In the present she currently travels to-and-from the Earth kingdom and the Water tribes~ (yes ik a firebender oc has a crush on ela, but this backstory is what is going to make thier relationship strongerrrr i long for dramaaaa)
