UPDATE: ACCEPTED FOR ADVENTURE AHHH [Reading the entirety of the instructions is not necessary but will help you understand both the application and the theme more. The questions are roughly in order from West to East, with more specific detail a little bit further down. Also, this will most likely be edited before the deadline if I receive any feedback. In that case, I will notify the hosts!] Hello there, and welcome to my leader app for the March '23 session of SWC (Scratch Writing Camp)! [To specify, I am applying for LEADER, but if I'm not accepted would of course love to co-lead!] ___ Once you click on the places (which will light up as you hover your mouse over them), please wait for the scroll to show, then it will fade out and the answer will appear. Click to change slides, then click to exit on the second one. ___ The theme for my application this time took a lot of thinking - I decided to focus less on art, and more on creating a nice theme and detailed answers. Loving History, I decided to dedicate this to ancient civilisations (West to East, roughly - Mayan, Viking, Greco-Roman, Egyptian and Chinese). I was initially going to draw a more weathered-looking map but decided that I wanted to convey the elegant glory of these civilisations, rather than their age. So I decided on a simple, but classic and beautiful, black and gold colour scheme. __ Mayan civilisation (Central America) - About me Viking civilisation (Scandinavia, which to clarify *cough cough Zaine* is in Europe) - experience, time and time management Greco-Roman civilisation (South Europe) - Genres Egyptian civilisation (North-East Africa) - Leadership and teamwork Chinese civilisation (North-East Asia) - Atmosphere and checkboxes ___ I hope you enjoy my application, and would absolutely love to make all my leader-related dreams come true. Lol. Also, if you want to sign up for SWC as a camper, the signups will be released on the 1st of Feb, on @Bellevue91's profile. Would love to see you participate, whoever you are <3 Also, sorry about Saudi Arabia touching East Africa lol.
Excerpt (November writing comp entry - sorry it's a bit long but it's the only piece I've written recently! I Need to change that lol) Art: Map traced from Google, all colours by me. Scroll drawn by me. Images on scrolls and answer slides from Canva. Answers: 100% me, with feedback from multiple people including the fantastic and Coding: Me Music: Pachabel's Cannon (because it sounds regal and I love this piece so much from when me and my friend composed a variation of it in music, which turned out to be disco music and we still have it stuck in both our heads a year later.)
