Notes: About this project: This project is a little teaser for an RPG that I'm currently working on. It shows you a Starting screen concept that I think I'm going to use for the final version of the game. If you click on one of the three buttons you can read a little summary of what I'm about to tell you in "BTV Release" and "About Beyond the Void". BTV Release: I've been working on this RPG for a total of 9 months now. I actually wanted to have it completed around like 4 months ago, but I underestimated how long these kinds of RPGs take. xD I really want this RPG to be finished, but I also want this RPG to be good. I hope that I can finish it until 2024, but well, my timing is pretty bad ngl. About Beyond the Void: BTV has an advanced Text Engine that's similar to the one I used in this teaser (this will be important for the next two topics). The "Dialogue System" will have "Dialogue Options" (those are like different unique responses the player character can give the NPC) Each of those responses triggers a different reaction of the NPC and can make your gaming experience unique and adds replay-value! Next up is the "Monologue System", the player character will sometimes talk to themself in certain situations. The text will be displayed above the player's head in real time (so no break in the gameplay). For the "Game Exploration" I decided to use a scrolling system. There are different areas in game and each area has its own scrolling base. Combat, you are going to encounter a few enemies in this game and it's going to happen in "Turn-based Combat" (Similar to 's games) You can use different attacks/abilities in combat. These abilities can be purchased from NPC-traders, found during exploration (chests or collectables for example) or be gained during player-level ups. The enemies have a specific move set that they repeat and use similar abilities as the player. I'm too lazy to write more.... BTV Lore project is in development!
