Tw for death and extreme cold It was a bright, sunny day, something Freezingtoil hadn’t seen in some time. It seemed hopeful, somehow, like things would be better. She’d be okay, despite everything, all the fear, all the uncertainty. The forest was covered in a light layer of snow, and the tortoiseshell was thankful that it numbed her now-always aching paws. As she walked along, she thought about all the cats she’d lost on the way. Her parents, then Frozenpaw. Drizzlecrizzle, her first truly close friend, then Frosteddrift. Freezingtoil wondered if he had ever forgiven her. Rimetinker, who should have still been here. Her strange charm, a souvenir from the ships, was still tangled in Freezingtoil’s long fur. Soon, her path was interrupted by a pond, a rather large one. It was frozen over, and she could see the dark waters underneath. Perhaps it was foolish, what she did then. She stepped forward, feeling the cold ice. One step, then another, further out onto the strange, slippery surface. She stood, shakily, only barely staying balanced. If only she had normal paws, if only she had claws to grip the ice with! After some time, though, she gained some control over her movement across the ice. Back and forth, back and forth. A soft, quiet creaking. Back and forth. A small, invisible crack, growing larger. Back and forth. The ice gave out, and Freezingtoil barely had time to shriek as she fell under. The cold seeped through her fur, deep into her bones, into her heart. She could almost feel her blood frosting over, like she was becoming ice inside and out. It reminded her of a time long ago, before pain, before fear, before uncertainty. /I was turning into a snow cat!/ She had said when recounting the dream. Except, now she knew. It wasn’t a dream. She and her siblings, they had been alone, left in the snow. She’d always known it, she knew the story so well it might as well have been a real memory. And here she was again, left in the cold, with no brothers to fend it off with. And no faceless hero was coming. Once again, she was freezing. ————————————————————————— So anyways time to get ready for Memoirkit- But actually though, thanks to everyone who ever roleplayed with Freezingtoil, each and every one of y’all are awesome And thanks to @Ashnosethemute as well, for picking me as Freezing’s backup. You’ll probably never see this, but still- You’re really cool The songs are Taken By Sleep and Slowtown, both are by twenty one pilots- I dunno, they both just fit Freezing’s whole vibe really well
