========================================== Zooming through the clouds, avoid bombs and collect things to survive for as long as you can in this action filled survival game! Collect coins so you can customize your character with several different skins! ========================================== HOW TO PLAY Move around your cursor (PC) or your finger on the touchscreen (mobile) to move the player. Avoid bombs, they do damage and decrease the time you have left, be cautious! In order to stay alive for longer, you need to be catching food to gain extra time and health. Food also has a chance to give you score. Occasionally you'll see a coin fall from above. Use these coins to buy skins at the shop in the main menu. Collecting coins in-game will also give a little bit of score. The longer you survive the more score you will have! ========================================= MENUS Settings: The leftmost button. Here you can customize your experience to fit your liking, and possibly reduce some lag if needed. For PC players, you can remotely change your settings at any point in the game using these keys: - Switch between rotation styles - R - Toggle the cloud background - C - Show/Hide hitboxes - H - Turn Explosions On/Off - E Mobile players will have to resort to the buttons in the settings menu. Turn off explosions and clouds if you're running the game on a potato, since that reduces alot of clones. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Data: The second button from the left, here you can save your progress, and load it up whenever you feel like playing again! It works by giving you a code, that you copy and paste in notepad for example. When you want to play again just copy it from there and paste it via the load button in the data menu. And voilá! You can continue from where you left off! This is what gets saved: - Your coins - The skins you own - The skin you last equipped - Your completed badges - Your settings - Your ??? ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Shop: The third button from the left. In here you spend your coins to look extra fabulous when you try not to explode! When you purchase a skin in the shop, you can equip it or unequip it whenever. Remember that unequipping a skin will automatically equip the default skin! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- Badges: The rightmost button. This is a collection of achievements that you can, well, achieve. For most badges, when they are completed you are rewarded with coins. So this is a good way to get all the skins faster. Completing every badge rewards you with the ability to REBIRTH! Rebirthing unlocks new features Obtain all badges, it may be worth it... -----------------------------------------------------------------------

Go there before hitting the green flag again or the stop button. Fullscreen is recommended for the best experience. When I say fullscreen I mean literally fullscreen, if you're on PC press F11 while fullscreened since that will make it feel better to play. Play on TurboWarp: https://turbowarp.org/784475272 TurboWarp is a scratch mod that runs projects faster with less lag. ========================================= HISTORY I am the creator of Skybound, you probably don't even know what that game is but for the people who know, I am the original creator of that game, the account got deleted and 2 years later I randomly felt like remaking one of my proudest creations. I made Skybound back in 2021 for a scratch design studio called "In the air". It got over 2000 plays and is my most played game. (soon to be overtaken by Tree Clicker) Play the old Skybound: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/492555179/ Do not question my old profile picture LOL ========================================= STATISTICS Time spent creating: ≈ 6 months (It took almost half a year to finish. And that's including all my burnout periods where I would be demotivated and do nothing with the project. If I know what Im doing I can make stuff pretty fast.) Total blocks: 4660 blocks Scripts: 172 scripts Sprites: 30 sprites (lag reduction sprites included) Global variables (for all sprites): 57 variables This is my most authentic game I have ever made in my career. The overall gameplay concept may very well have been done before, but It was still an idea I had and I've never actually seen it be executed before. (Old skybound was often compared to Fruit Ninja, because of the fruit and the bombs but theres still alot of differences, okay?) Here, you see my masterpiece from 2021 be remastered, and even belittled into oblivion. ========================================= CREDITS Music: Center of Existence by DJ Nate All art is by me, but all the food, and of course the classic skin was taken as assets from the library and later slightly edited. Foods were given outines and shadows by me. I thickened the outlines of the character. The icon for the settings button was taken from google search and then edited. (Cropping it took hours) For sounds, some were taken from websites and then edited in scratch. The rest were taken from the sound library and also edited to be more original. Sounds from other websites: - Completing a badge - Buying a skin - Equipping/unequipping a skin and a few more... Sounds from the library: - Pressing a button - Loading progress - Starting a game - Player appearing - Hitting a bomb - Eating food - Catching a coin - Gaining score - Going back to the menu - Insufficient funds for a skin and more... This game would be LOADED with sprites if it wasn't for good ole' @FANJOUA (AKA Mr. Vincent). He designed a custom block that makes clones act like individual sprites, which heavily reduces the amount of sprites in your project. I started using that block halfways through the creating process, which you can maybe notice if you see inside and look at the sprites. With this, however, there are alot of clones on screen at once, but 100 clones on screen is way more optimized than 50 sprites. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- #Games
