U2U (Up to You) was a survival show that streamed on Afreeca TV. The survival show had 5 final places that would be debuting and achieving their dreams of finally being an idol. However, in 4th place, came Kim Rayul, an 11 year old. Afreeca TV is a website for adults, so its obvious a ton of pervs probably voted for Rayul to debut. What’s the main problem in this, you may be wondering? Everyone else that ranked in the top 5 were 20 year olds, and the group has an adult concept. The fact that Rayul will have an adult concept at 11 is disgusting. It’s not only that, but there’s obviously ups and downs to being a k-pop idol. Some of the downs are something an 11 year old definitely shouldn’t go through. That’s disgusting. At the age of 11 shes going to be traumatized because adult men decided to vote for her. Where is this girls parents? Rayul is going to get traumatized by the industry and it’s definitely not safe for her. It’s not only that, but they’re receiving so much backlash for this. If the group has potential, having their maknae an 11 year old is going to ruin the groups image and chemistry. I can’t imagine how awkward its going to be, 4 20 year olds with an 11 year old. But thats not the point. Debuting ages are getting younger and younger and its obvious that this girl is going to get sexualized a lot and a ton of adult men are probably going to go after her. Honestly I don’t really care about idols debuting young, its been happening since 2nd gen, its not that big of a deal and they can save the companies from bankruptcy, like boa. The only reason I’m concerned for this group specifically is because they have a seggsy concept. Also, I noticed another k-pop news account used my exact babymonster project and reposted it without remixing on their account. Don’t use my ideas if you’re not going to give credits. I dont care how big your account is, I’m not afraid to call you out. Thanks.
