My mom came up with the theory that Marshall is a Great Dane! She wondered why Marshall was bigger than the other pups and realized he might actually be a Great Dane, she also thought it made sense because he's clumsy and his spot pattern looks more like a Great Dane, but he is officially labeled as a Dalmatian.
