Original Project/Coding: @stormysenpai33 Characters: Blike (birdlike creature), Quipp (buglike alien) [both owned by @RedCuzImAwesome] Audio: "When I Grow Up" - Mayday Parade (cover of the Pussycat Dolls) Original Version: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/249225759 well... looking back on it, let's just say that this project was long overdue for a remake. and it's been a while since i made a project that had someone else's characters i could go on long tangents that basically amount to "ugly ugly ugly" regarding my feelings on my old art, but i don't think i need to. i'm just going to admit that i was less experienced back then (judging by the day the original project was released, i was nearly 14 at the time). i also distinctly remember that i made the original project in the span of an evening and got tired of animating about halfway through. at least i tried, though - the less that can be said about the now-deleted and unrelated first ever remix i did of this animation meme, the better. there's a reason i spent so long disparaging it in the description of the original version of this project. it was bad, guys. like, laughably bad. trust me also, i kinda wanted an excuse to draw these two again. i drew blike (who only shows up once in the beginning of the project) during art fight about 6 months ago, and i guess that's what made me re-remember this. in the description of the original project, i mentioned that i specifically chose quipp since his design was simpler than blike or slye... good for me for realizing this, i guess. not really sure why i didn't consider using skar (another one of red's characters) for this. i feel skar would've been rather fitting for this one as well, and her design is relatively simple. maybe some other time. i feel like i'm trying out new things with this animation style. it's a bit simpler than my usual style to make it easier to animate, although i typically prefer doing animation where it's just the outlines there's an unused thumbnail for the project that contains a handwritten version of the title (it's inside the project). this was because my fonts weren't working as i was finishing this up... but then they worked again, so i thought i'd go for what i usually do regarding project thumbnails instead. admittedly, i like the unused design a little better, but i wanted to be more consistent "dr pepper is not good motivation fuel apparently" -quote from my 2018 self in the description of the original project that i still relate to nowadays two projects in one month?? man, i'm really spoiling you guys.
