This actually happened. I thought I had zipped up my Steam Deck in its case, but when I went to open the gate at the top of the stairs (because I have dogs) and my hands were full, I had to hold the case by the handle, which caused it to slip out and tumble down the stairs. The back of the device popped out and there was some white scuffing, but everything else seemed to be okay. Now, I double-check to make sure the case is secure every time I carry it.
