Small communities and even large walled cities remained. Most strongholds built over major cities were overtaken or infected. However, Edinburgh's low population and cold weather created a stable and sterile sanctuary that would hold the longest-standing stronghold of humanity. No wastelanders were let in and no aristocrats were let out. Recently, a force led by the Prime General executed multiple offensive campaigns against the wastelander masses.
