(credit to @colorsnatch for the code!) ------------------------------------ *[word]* = in bold ------------------------------------------------------------ Scratch Community Guidelines: Scratch is a friendly and welcoming community for everyone, where people create, share, and learn together. *We welcome people of all ages, races, ethnicities, religions, abilities, sexual orientations, and gender identities.* Help keep Scratch a welcoming, supportive, and creative space for all by following these Community Guidelines. *Treat everyone with respect.* Scratchers have diverse backgrounds, interests, identities, and experiences. Everyone on Scratch is encouraged to share things that excite them and are important to the---we hope that you find ways to celebrate your own identity on Scratch, and allow others to do the same. It's never OK to attack a person or group's identity or to be unkind to someone about their background or interests. --------------------- Summary: Paragraph One- Keep in mind that the Scratch community welcomes people no matter their age, race, ethnicity, religion, abilities, sexuality, or gender identity as a creative space for people of all different kinds. Paragraph Two- *Treat everyone with respect.* All Scratchers are different in their own ways. They're welcome and even encouraged to share about their interests or any subjects that are important to them. Even if you don't agree with someone, it is NEVER ok to attack another person or group for their background or interests. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Additional things to consider: Even if someone is attacking you because of your background, identity, experiences, or interests, it is also never ok to attack them back. As bad as it feels, it is also unkind to hurt someone else who is hurting you. There is a reason why Scratch has provided a report button for you. Don't reply to the people. Just report them. (The last section of the SCG states something similar to this.) --------------------------------------------------------------------- Notes: Credit to whoever wrote the Scratch Community Guidelines. Props to you for writing it. ^-^ Full SCG: https://scratch.mit.edu/community_guidelines/ The reason why I made this project is because I notice that a lot of Scratchers, especially those of us in oppressed communities or people in communities that express opposite beliefs, tend to forget about this part of the Community Guidelines. This usually leads to arguments, drama, and all that kind of stuff. I really hate it when that happens and I hope this helps with those kinds of situations. I don't know if I really summarized those parts of the community guidelines because I feel that there are too many important things to include in them. I tried my best to narrow them down though. I want to make a project about the full Community Guidelines but I probably will start on it another time or later this month. It depends on my schedule.
