Chapter 1 of a new story! This is @Sophie-Foster-Fan back to you with an amazing story! If You have a better story name, share it Timber walked into the lunch room, her dark hair waving loose behind her and her green eyes studying the class. Once she walked in, the entire lunch room went silent. She watched in devastation as one kid stood up on his chair and shouted, “TIMBER!” Timber felt her face go red with embarrassment. She’s earned that name. On the first day of school the kids teased her until she got mad, and there was a sudden earthquake. She suddenly didn’t feel like eating anymore and walked out. She heard the chatter rise up once she left. She headed to her next, and last, class. *** Later, after school, Timber was at the park doing tricks on the monkey bars. She paused a moment when she saw two kids walk by. One was chatting non stop and the other slammed her book shut in his face. “Siblings.” Timber thought. “They’re so annoying.” She continued, this time not pausing as a drenched boy passed by. She also didn’t see when the girl with the book scared her brother and the other boy, who was instantly dry, walked by. He didn’t notice either, though. A few hours passed and Timber picked up her bag and headed home. She opened her house door to her mother yelling into the phone and instantly went to her room. Timber’s room was a deep grey and her bedsheets were black. She’d made dark covers for her books to match. “Well at least school is better than here.” Timber grumbled. “Although I’d still rather be at the park than being teased or living in a house with a crazy mom.” The next Friday Timber went directly to the monkey bars. Hanging upside-down from her legs, she saw the girl from the previous Friday come over to the monkey bars and climb up. Timber swung up and grabbed the bar with her hands so she could let her feet hang. When the other girl got on, she pushed Timber with her foot, making Timber fall. “Hey!” Timber yelled. “What’s the big idea?” The girl dropped down and and replied, “The name’s Clinda. Not ‘Hey.’” She crossed her arms. “Well, Clinda. I don’t see the point of pushing me off of the monkey bars just so you can go freely. There’s literally another set over there!” Timber pointed across the playground to another set of bars. Clinda’s brother ran up to the two and said, “Hey, Clin. I found your book by the swings.” “Not now, Dan!” Clinda snapped. “If you’re gonna go all sibling rage on each other, I’ll gladly leave you two alone.” Timber noticed something about them suddenly. They’re hair color was the same, they both had golden-brown eyes, and they’re face was kinda similar. “Wait— are you two twins?!” Timber exclaimed. Clinda groaned. “If another person figures that out on their own I’m going to sign up for adoption.” A drenched boy walked up and shoved them apart. “Will anyone be quiet around here? Some people have to study!” Dan rolled is eyes. “Zip it, Weyv. You have more places to study than just here.” Weyv’s face grew red with frustration. “And some people don’t want to go home!” he shouted back. “Well at least none of you have crazy parents who try to lock you in a room to the point you jump out the window!” Clinda snapped. “Please. Other’s don’t have parents at all. My adoptive parents are worse than yours.” Weyv replied. Clinda’s eye’s flashed an icy blue color and in half a second Weyv was slipping on a small patch of ice. “What the— AGH” Clinda screamed. The patch of ice grew bigger and soon everyone but Clinda was slipping. Timber fell down, and the ground shook with a low rumble. The moment Dan’s hands touched the ice, it melted into a puddle. When he fell, the water soaked him from top to bottom. Weyv managed to get off the ice. He scowled as a small cloud formed over his head and started raining onto him. “What…” Timber started to say, but then trailed off. “Uh, see you next week.” They all said at once and rushed off in different directions *** (Continuation bellow)
Timber had almost forgotten about the last Friday’s events. Almost. As she made her way into the park, she sat down on a bench instead of going to the monkey bars. The rest of the kids arrived at the same time, from different directions. “So…about last week.” Weyv rocked back and forth on his heels. “It was… crazy and… complicated.” Dan filled in. “Not as crazy as you guys.” Clinda muttered under her breath. “Shut up, Clinda.” Timber snapped. “Well I thought I was the only one.” Timber said as she returned to the convention. “Same.” Dan and Weyv replied. “Wait.” Clinda said suddenly. “Is it just me, or is it… empty?” Weyv looked around. “No one else is here. We’re the only ones.” He said. “This is gonna sound crazy, but something’s waiting for us.” Dan said darkly. “Well I know my mom wouldn’t care.” Timber grumbled. “We should get out.” Weyv whispered. But just as they were about to turn and leave, they were each grabbed by a different person and had their hands held behind them. They all groaned and jumped into action. Clinda made an icy area under her and her captor, Dan tried to burn his captor’s wrists, and Weyv sent a streak of lightning from his storm cloud and the person holding him. None of the attacks worked, and Timber saw that as her cue. She stomped her foot, sending all the captors back several feet. But it didn’t take them long to get back up and re take their places. But this time, to prevent any additional surprises, each captor snapped something onto all of the power bearer’s wrists. Weyv wasn’t able to keep his cloud, Dan couldn’t burn anymore hands, Clinda couldn’t make anymore iced sidewalk squares, and Timber couldn’t make a single earthquake. The moment Timber tried, her vision dimmed, as well as the rest of her friends’s, and she passed out.
