so I've been wanting to say this for quite a while now. and since i've been in the s-pop for almost 2 years now. I didn't get to say it because I know I would get hate plus people would come at me for saying this. It's quite annoying how non-Koreans keep pretending they are Korean. Look I get it it's for roleplay. But don't just bail your own ethnicity for it, everyone's country is beautiful. No one will get hate because your not Korean and you wanna be an s-pop idol. If you wanna know what s-pop means, it stands for SCRATCH pop not KOREAN pop which means you don't have to just be Korean. I would get why you don't wanna reveal where your from but don't just keep admitting your actually from South Korea. Also that doesn't mean start using google translate to pretend your Korean. That's just a straight up no no. And saying "oppa" and "unnie", like girl, if you aren't Korean. PLEASE DON'T SAY IT, CAUSE IT'S ACTUALLY QUITE CRINGY IN A LOT OF WAYS UNLESS YOUR KOREAN. And as a Korean, I hate/cringe/uncomfortable when non-Koreans say those types of phrases, plus to other non-Koreans. Like for example, someone calls a Japanese or Indonesian or Australian "oppa" and "unnie", Ik they could get offended. So yeah. I wanted to get this off my chest. Signing out-
This isn't to hurt anyone. I just don't want non-Koreans to admit or keep saying they are Korean, when they actually aren't.
