here is a list of some of the people i really love. some are just acquaintances and some i’m really close with. obviously this isn’t a complete list but i wanted to write about them because i am feeling very overcome with appreciation. - my dad i really love my dad. he likes puzzles and music and he makes really good eggs. he always drives me to therapy and my clubs and he is ok with silence. being quiet never feels awkward with him. he is very good at conversation too and i laugh every time i talk to him. he is always patient and never mean. he is good at chess and he buys peanuts with the shell on because he says they’re better. he learns my favorite songs on guitar and he knows some good card tricks too. he really truly loves my mom after 16 years together. - my friend’s friend i have a friend in massachusetts that i was really close with in middle school and after i moved his friend saw him texting me and asked for my number just to get on his nerves. now it is a year later and we are very good friends. we talk nearly every day and he’s brilliant at strategy games. he told me i seem like i live life to the fullest and he wants to live in new york one day. he is scared of the ocean and likes going to bed early and sleeping in late. he likes to draw and play tennis and read short stories. he goes to boarding school and loves it. he is never dull and always kind. - the girl sitting next to me in chem i don’t know her that well because our class has assigned seats. we didn’t even talk until i commented on the friendship bracelets she was making. now she is very talkative and friendly towards me. she gives me daily updates on her tumultuous love life. today she came in and decided that since i am a sophomore and she is a junior it was her responsibility to impart her wisdom on me. she gave me every bit of advice she could come up with regarding drug safety (never in a bad headspace, never pills, don’t smoke anything prerolled), men (do not trust them), and kidnapping (do not make it to the final destination). she told me that if i ever found myself in a sticky situation she was the angel on my shoulder and that i can text her whenever i need to because “pretty girls need to look out for each other”. she is like the sister i never had and i love her very much. - my bus driver i have never had a conversation with him nor do i know his name. however he is always on time and always says good morning. he is always very nice and he is a good driver. the day before christmas break he wore an ugly sweater and a santa hat. i think he is wonderful and i always make sure to say thank you to him. - son of family friends this kid is in 8th grade and he is basically my brother. we grew up together. he used to be this inappropriate, immature maniac but he’s grown up a little and is actually really funny now. he gets to hang out with me and my best friend now when all our families get together. he cares a lot about my brother even though they had a falling out. he likes nirvana and he likes playing cards against humanity with the other older kids. he is the oldest child so his parents always get mad at him even when he isn’t doing anything wrong. he has the funniest southern accent and he sounds just like his dad. - my friend in ap gov this is our second history class where he’s been seated directly in front of me. he is very smart and studious. i am also smart but not as studious but we always split the work we have. he is wonderful at pool and he is from new york. he has this excellent monotone voice that makes every joke he makes sound funnier to me. my table group said we bicker like an old couple. i think he might be annoyed by me but i like him anyway. this is not all of the people i love. i will probably add more later -eiisl
