THE STORY It's night time. You're out camping in the woods, and you're about to toast some marshmallows. Rather strangely, you can smell marshmallow, even though you haven't opened the packet yet. You glance around, to check that no-one's around. No one's there. You look down, just in case you have opened the packet. It's still closed. You look up, just in case something, ANYTHING, could be above you. And what do you see...? Why, a GIANT FLOATING MARSHMALLOW, of course! That explains everything. As you wonder how that could possibly have got there, it starts throwing sticks and skewers at you! You start running. You run as fast as you can. But soon you tire. You slow down. You stop. You find yourself in a grassy clearing with a lot of noisy crickets. And the marshmallow is coming after you. Well, you decide, after slapping yourself in case this is all a terrible, terrible, rather tasty but still terrible nightmare, there's only one thing for it: You must fight. To the death, too, 'cause that's cool and stuff. INSTRUCTIONS W, A and D to move. Space to jump. Press S to switch weapons. Pick up the sticks that the marshmallow throws at you, and click to throw them back, damaging the marshmallow. After the marshmallow's healths is depleted, it will fly out of sight, leaving a life-restoring heart, before coming back stronger; it will fire faster, and has more health. It also fires skewers, which deal more damage to it when thrown, but cause bleeding damage to you if they hit you. This goes on until you die. Survive as long as you can, and get that high-score!
The entire concept of this came from the Idea Shop on the Scratch Forums. I recommend checking them out if you need an idea and have the patience to wait a couple days. All scripts and art are by me, the art being made in vector. Most sounds are by other people; the crickets are a slightly modified scratch stock sound, and the laugh and attack noises are borrowed from WoompaDoop's games (go check him out, he makes great games). The only sound by me is the little organ piece when you die, which I made in about 10 minutes using sound blocks. This game took a while to get done, mostly because procrastination / temporarily losing interest in Scratch. Sorry :P I will accept all constructive criticism and suggestions. Feel free to look inside the project and remix it. If you liked the game, go ahead and love the project, or even favourite it if you think it was worthy! Have Fun!
