----------------------------------NOTES------------------------------------ This is a demo so a lot of things are unfinished and jank I've tried to the best of my abilities to accurately simulate Mega Man X4's Zero gameplay on Scratch. Unfortunately, because Scratch projects can only run at 30 FPS, I had to condense most of Zero's attack animations. This is why I also couldn't use Mega Man X4's Zero sprites because it has WAYYY too many frames of animation for it to look good in 30 FPS, instead, I reused Zero's sprite from Mega Man X3, and found custom sprites online. But as you'd expect, not exactly everyone is a great spriter, so it was quite difficult for me to find good custom X3 animations (let alone whole sprite sheets). Though they do exist, I still had to edit some myself to make up for some animations, so some of them may look janky, and they're not exactly "Mega Man X: Corrupted" level good. The next thing I want to address is that the Z-saber itself is a bit jank, and you can't saber-dash cancel yet unfortunately :( Lastly, I know the boss is extremely cheesable since you're literally invincible when you use your Z-saber, but that's because I'm still trying to figure out how to detect hits using hurtboxes. A few notable improvements form my previous Mega Man X engines are: -You can spam jump when wall jumping and hitting a ceiling -Getting hit midair slows down your fall -You immediately stop moving as soon as you let go of WASD -The screen is fixed in place during the "READY" boot up -Low health animation doesn't bug out -Dash wall jumping is improved -other ---------------------------------CREDITS---------------------------------- Voice Work: -Zero: Wayne Doster (Mega Man X4) -Zero: ???
