Hey! I'm Glen @NorthGlens this is my litter application account if you want to find me look there, all of that. I'm a highschooler who likes to draw and animate along with a bit of writing- I roleplay also if you couldn't tell lmao. I can tend to be a bit awkward where talking to people is involved so I can be a bit slow to respond to messages, but I don't bite I'm just thinking really hard about the response haha- I've kind of been roleplaying as long as I can remember on a slow gradient between playing imagination games with my friends to DnD to internet roleplay, but I've only recently (within the last few years or so) started treating it as a skill to improve with any sincerity. Silkie would likely be my last character as I'm approaching adulthood, and am not comfortable roleplaying battle cats on a kid's site over eighteen years old lmao- I've got a year and some change to go and I would want to keep him for that entire time, if possible. It's a real possibility that school becomes more important than battle cats and I have to drop him early, but I will try to avoid that as best as I can. I don't think I've gone inactive without notice, though I am currently on a break with notice being limited to a message on my profile. Spiritfalcon of Shadowclan, 51 moons is my current and only character! Personality, trivia and RP examples in Notes and credits! Silkieppaw would keep his birth gender and use He/him pronouns. I would probably have him be Pansexual panromantic and possibly Demi I would love Serenadelark to start easing him out of his shell! He'd be incredibly overprotective of her and would often try to take a caretaker role as the child in the relationship which is not ideal haha- In all honesty, I think having a full family alongside Serenadelark will be as important to his development as having her will be! He's a bit of a nervous loner type and needs that understanding that there is something to fall back on if everything else falls apart. All in all I'd like for him to feel more comfortable and secure as he grows alongside his new family, learning to let go a bit and relax in life. Maybe even open up a smidge haha- Having someone to worry and care about will (hopefully) let him set down permanent roots :) Why he would protect her: Silkie had a lot of growing to do when he was younger. He wasn't necessarily small, but he had certainly not found his way to his full intimidating fourteen inches just yet. He was more likely to trip over his ridiculously large feet than scare away danger if you get what I'm saying. Goofy looking, and alone in the world to match. Mostly, that is. It was him and big sister Wyandotte, or Dottie against the world. His clearest memories are of a mountain full of fluff covering every inch of his face as she wrapped her tail protectively around the little brother she was so fond of. She was the guardian, watching carefully over him as he grew into those big paws of his. Soon enough he was eye to eye with her, and then to her great dismay, she had to crane her neck to see his face. He never really let his confidence match his size, and she continued to quite happily play protector as she taught him the basics of life on the lonesome. A bit of fighting, enough hunting to get by, but more scavenging than that. A street cat was a street cat at the end of the day. It was all good times back then, but nothing that ideal could be permanent. It was a deceptively bright day when he heard the baying. He had remembered searching their little nook in the rafters from corner to corner, hoping to find shelter from the noise in her warmth, only to find nothing but stale scent and a knot of worry that seemed adamant to make it's home in his belly. When he finally found her she was backed into a corner, fighting the dogs like starclan itself was behind her. There was only so much one small stray cat could do against a pack of hounds, especially alone, even with a younger brother only a few yards off looking on in frozen horror. He had left then, when he had realized there was no saving her. He would have to survive with the weight of her death hanging on his pelt. Serenadelark was certainly a shock, but he couldn't let another cat die in front of his eyes, not when he remembered her so clearly. "You're so big now, Sil! you can take plenty good care of yourself kid. Don't need me for anything at all!" And he had leaned into the safety of her warm coat muttering something about not being so big just yet. Just a bit longer. But longer never came, and now he had a second chance. He would not throw away his second chance. TLDR; big sister always protected him until she needed his help, and he froze up and she died. He sees Serinadelark as a second chance to save /somebody/ This Jersey giant of a man <33 This kind of withdrawn personality type is on my list of odd likes, like weeds in place of favorite flowers (dandelions lmao) and oranges. I guess oranges are pretty ordinary-
(-) Meek, self-sacrificing, socially awkward, overprotective, pessimistic (=) Soft-spoken, closed-off (+) Loyal, Loving, Polite, Hard-working, Gentle Silkiepaw is a mouse masquerading as a bear. He has a handful of braver qualities, but for the most part he's more likely to freeze or flee than fight, despite his intimidating size. That all changes if there is someone else's safety on the line, though. He has a guilty conscience which plays heavily into his selflessness and overall morals and motivation. He is incredibly dedicated to those he claims as his, and would quite literally die for them. This can lead him to be a bit smothering and overprotective, especially of any who are physically smaller than him or younger than him. He sees his size as a gift that he's meant to use to care and protect. He's a bit of a closed-off cat, preferring to keep most of his words in his head. You won't get much from him at first, but the moment you show him kindness he's added you to the list of cats he would die for. His entire clan is on this list without exception. His social awkwardness causes him to lean on almost southern politeness standards that he learned from his big sister. He's not likely to be pulling out insults and will respectfully defer to any cat much older than him. He keeps a bit of a pessimistic outlook and takes hits hard, but won't slow his pace because of it. He's got a duty to do, and is determined to meet expectations. He's a gentle soul and is pretty good at stepping lightly around difficult emotions. An example from his backstory because I want to further flesh out the first eight moons :) "Dottie!" The whiny squeal of a kit voice echoed through the streets as Silkie fought to keep up with his sister's big confident steps. "Dottie, I'm comin'!" He stuck out his tongue in intense concentration as he scurried along, throwing himself forward to catch up, waging war against unsteady kit legs. This attempt to pick up the pace ended in him bumbling over his big paws, landing in a dusty pile of kit fluff and tangled limbs a few tail lengths ahead. Silent shock turned to sniffles, then quickly into wails as the young kit realized he had fallen. The returning form of his sister did little to contain his wails as he stretched his paws out to reach for her. Big sisters fixed all the problems a little kit could have, of course. "Does it hurt Sil? Hm? you feel like you hurt anything?" He sniffled, taking a shaky breath to respond as he fell dramatically into her chest fur "N-no" "See, just scary! Sorry I got ahead kiddo!" She ran a comforting tongue over his head as she soothed "Hmm- how about to say sorry I let you ride the rest of the way. Seem fair?" Well, at least that perked him up. The hum of waking camp worked its way through the veil of Silkiepaw's dreams, pulling him reluctantly back to reality. He glanced around the apprentice's den at the gently stirring forms of his clanmates and couldn't help a smile as a rush of pride and protectiveness flooded over him. The dim light of the den seemed just a bit brighter when it was filled with /family/ Some known, some not, all his clan. /His/ clan. He ran the words over in his mouth carefully, taking care to remember it's warmth. It was anyone's guess how long he might be allowed to stay. This opportunity that everyone had provided was not something to be squandered. Nothing would happen to any of them if he was there to do anything about it. Trivia! Serinadelark will immediately be dubbed Ma'am or Miss and will have to constantly fight the term if she doesn't like it. (To varying levels of success lmao) In-kind, Shoalcry will be doomed to the title Sir or Mister and will also have to fight it to varying levels of success He's a bit overwhelmed by the sheer number of clan cats and can often be found in the quieter corners of camp when possible. He thinks that the desert smells very good in comparison to the gasoline and general human-smell of the area he grew up in. He knows a handful of human terms like 'car' 'house' and 'person' but rarely uses them in favor of fitting in with the clan (if permitted) Songs Northern Attitude (The one in the project!)- Noah Kahan Daughter- sleeping at last but specifically referring to his big sister and his relationship.
