Here is my entry for Cotton~! I actually was not clear on what type of animals they were, so I just drew her as a cat :D Hopefully you like this entry, I spent maybe 1-2 hours on the drawing :) Congrats on 250+!! Also, I'm not sure if this was allowed, but I made a short lil backstory, if you want to read it <3 Backstory: Ever since Cotton was young, she would enjoy staring into space and coming up with her own little fantasies. When all her siblings were playing outside and running around, she would be sitting on her favorite pillow, chin on her paws. **(Do cats have chins? lol)** Other days, she might be reading a book, the words taking her to many different worlds and places. Her siblings called her a book worm, because of how often they saw her reading, and of how much time she would spend in the sprawling hallways of book shelves. Of course, they had always meant their teasing to be of good humor, but it set Cotton apart from the others, and she became even quieter then she had been. The days of reading and daydreaming continued, until the day a newcomer arrived and disrupted the peaceful lives that Cotton and her siblings had led. His name was Specter, and he was a black cat with neon green patterning. He wore a pair of spectacles perched on his nose, and his forest green eyes seemed to pierce through to your soul. For some reason, Cotton seemed drawn to the stranger, for she was the first one to notice him. "Hello?" she had called out, voice scratchy from not being used often. "Can I help you?" He had smiled, and approached her. "Hello there. My name is Specter, and I'm a wanderer. I've been looking for a place to stay and rest before I continue my journey." Cotton had heard of wanderers, of course. They were nomads, cats roaming the world in search of information and adventure. She had always admired their brave ways, and had wondered what type of things they found out there. "Oh, of course," she replied, "we have room, if you'd like to stay a few days," She smiled at him, and he gave her a small smile back. For the next few days, she and Specter spent quite a bit of time together, and she learnt a lot of information about the outside world. Places, animals and even plants. Cotton demonstrated how she had learnt to write on paper, using a long stick with ink, with one of the ends in her mouth. He watched her approvingly, and there was something in his eyes that she couldn't read. Many of Cotton's siblings were wary of the wanderer, but they appreciated how he had gained the trust of Cotton and had been entertaining her, for they had all been worrying about their bookish sister. When it came time for Specter to leave, he took Cotton aside. "You've been spending time with me, and I have seen your talent. You are a smart, independent and optimistic individual. I would love for you to come with me and be my scribe while we travel the countryside. You can come back here any time you wish, of course." Cotton was astounded by his request, and a part of her longed to accept. "But my siblings-" Cotton started. "Your siblings will survive without you, and you can come visit them whenever you wish." He said. Cotton looked down at her paws, considering, although the answer was already in her head. "Well, alright, I suppose." She finally said. Specter smiled, and bumped her shoulder with his own. "Thank you, Cotton. It'll be fun!" She smiled wide, and went to pack a few of her books. For the months following, Cotton and Specter toured the countryside, meeting so many new and interesting cats. Cotton also made plenty new discoveries, and she wrote them all down. She loved this life, of traveling and learning new things, and she especially loved sharing it with Specter, whom she had grown very close with. (I felt like writing more, but this was supposed to be a short backstory, lol :P Hope u enjoyed!)
