FullScreen is recommended This lab isn't very accurate and is just a prototype. You are attempting to find out whether Pb, Ag, Hg are present. Instructions: (each step must be done in order) - Equip the tool and fill it up with HCl (fully), then place the HCl in the test tube. Do this twice. - Click on the test tube (Might be a little hard) to get rid of the supernatant. - Fill the tool with hot water(H2O)(fully) and place it in the test tube. Do this 3 times. - Fill the tool with some K2CrO4 and place it in test tube. The color should change. Bright Yellow confirms Pb being present while transperant orange confirms no Pb being present. - Click on the test tube to clear the filtrate. Take the tool to the "waste" box to clear it - Fill the tool with some NH3 and add that to the test tube. Black color refers to Hg being present while no black refers to no Hg being present. Clear the tool if needed - Fill the tool with some HNO3 and add that to the test tube. White color refers to Ag being present while no White refers to no Ag being present. Now press the green "Click to answer" button and determin whether the group 1 cations were present or not. Remember, They all don't necessarily have to be present. 1 might be present, maybe 2 of them, maybe all, or maybe none are present.
