Song: Darkside by Alan Walker This basically shows Blackout's backstory, and I suppose I'll write it out for you guys :) There was a third dragonet of Foeslayer and Arctic. Erased from history, all but forgotten. Cursed to never die, or otherwise unleash a powerful spell that could lead to the end of Pyrrhia... and to the rise of the Empire of Ice. Blackout was an animus, as much as she wanted not to be. She'd seen what Darkstalker had done with his power, and swore only to use her power when absolutely necessary. She'd only told Whiteout, her twin, and Arctic. Foeslayer and Darkstalker were oblivious to Blackout's magic, and that was just the way she liked it. Well, that fateful day when Arctic "died" and Darkstalker was put to sleep, she unleashed her magic... Ehhh I'm feeling lazy so basically Blackout keeps her powers hidden (with a spell so it erases all memories of her doing magic except from herself and whoever she tells, which is only Arctic and Whiteout, so no one else knows) until Darkstalker "kills" Arctic. Then she yells "STOP!" and Arctic stops dis-you-know-what-ing himself. She releases Arctic from Darkstalker's spells and she and Arctic escape. Blackout erases herself from history so NOBODY remembers she even existed and manipulates the memories of everyone who saw what happened to remember and think that Arctic died with a spell. Blackout also discovers that a curse sent from Queen Diamond states that one of Arctic and Foeslayer's dragonets, when they died, would turn the whole continent into a tundra, instantly killing every tribe except for IceWings. Blackout also discovers that that dragonet is her. She is forever cursed to stay alive. They try to reverse and remove the spell, but nothing works. Arctic and Blackout hide and travel for around around 1,800 years together, but Arctic decides that it's his time to pass on, and Blackout respects his wishes and turns him to dust painlessly. Blackout stays alive for the next 200 years alone, falling into a deep state of depression and loneliness. When Darkstalker returns, Blackout is both overjoyed and terrified- of what she did to escape with Arctic and happy to see her brother alive. She talks to and reveals herself to Foeslayer and Darkstalker (by returning their memories). But soon after Darkstalker is turned into Peacemaker, she disappears... Who knows? Perhaps one day one of your dragons will meet Blackout of the NightWings and IceWings. Notes: I'm pretty sure Arctic cared a lot for his twin daughters- a lot more than he cared for Darkstalker. And when Blackout saved Arctic, he and Blackout grew pretty close. Of course, spending almost two millennia together probably helps.
