Welcome to a silly little project I felt like making :D The main purpose of this project is for me to reflect on the last year I've had roleplaying Waterracer <3 I'll be going over the main sections of Waterracer's life, the cats (and roleplayers!) that affected him the most, and rambling about my favourite little battle kitty <3 ⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️ Kithood & Apprenticeship: (Pre-creation) I didn't develop Waterracer's kithood too much, other than the fact he was really annoying to his mother :) I never actually decided what happened to his parents, but I suppose he never knew his father, and his mother died when he was a young warrior (around Woolymeadow's death). He did escape camp as a kit, and got his first scar :) Waterracer's apprenticeship however, was a very interesting time :eyes: It was decided that Waterpaw tried to be friendly to the other apprentices, but they mostly ignored him. Waterpaw was an extremely playful cat, maybe even more than as a kit, especially with his mentor. Since the other apprentices mostly ignored him, he tried to become friends with his mentor, and was eventually successful. Since he wasn't trying hard enough and became friends with his mentor, Waterracer missed out on advanced training points. This was also when he first met Otterstar, who ignored him more than the other apprentices :'D ⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️ Early Warriorhood: (Time of creation) At the time of creation, Waterracer was 32 moons old. Around this time, he met Woolymeadow, who he regarded as his first real friend. The two would play and chat occasionally, though they didn't spend too much time together. Not long after they met, Woolymeadow sadly passed around the same time as his mother, causing Waterracer's first experience with grief, and he didn't take it well. Not too much later, Waterracer and Hawkcrest met for the first time since their extremely brief encounters as apprentices. The pair spoke about their grim outlooks on RiverClan's future, foreshadowing the storm and revolution to come. At the time, Waterracer's festering anger about his recent losses became directed at the 'failing leadership' of Blazingstar and Otterchase. ⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️ The Storm/Cold Front: Not long after his and Hawkcrest's first meeting, Waterracer was met with the first crisis of his life, the giant storm that tore through RiverClan's camp. This was a massive moment in Waterracer's life, if not the biggest. The night of the storm was the first time Waterracer felt pain for others, helplessness, anger towards StarClan, true fear, and on top of all that, he also met his future mate :) Waterracer spent the night of the storm inside the Warriors' den with Sunflame during the worst part, and sheltering the then Cardinalkit. After the storm, Waterracer had his first confrontation with Otterchase, who according to Waterracer wasn't doing enough as deputy to repair camp. He also met the then Thrashercloud for the first time, when he came to help with repairs. Outside of RPs, this was also a really cool time for me, personally. This was my first event in TFCRP, and I remember very frequently refreshing the camp studio during it, and the first burst of motivation that I got. At the time I wrote the best roleplays I'd ever written during the storm, describing Waterracer's pain and mental state really gave me a new outlook on roleplaying, to be honest. ⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️ The Boats: Fast-forwarding a bit, we get to the evacuation and travelling on the boats. For Waterracer, this was a conflicting, but pleasant experience. Waterracer had a natural affinity for the ocean and came to like the sights and smells of life at sea, though the downside was that he had no contact with Lovekit during this time, though I feel I didn't really roleplay that out enough, tbh. The boats were also where Waterracer and Sunflame confessed their feelings <3 I honestly loved this RP and all that led up to it, and I'm sure I'll talk about that more later <3 ⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️
⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️ I could talk more about periods of his life, but I don't want to make this a copy of his wiki page, so let's get onto some even more pointless rambles :) Particularly, about some of the most important cats in his life! Don't feel offended if your character isn't given a section here, it doesn't mean that they weren't important to Waterracer, or that I disregarded the RPs we had together ^^ ⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️ Otterchase/Otterkit/Otterstar :) Starting with the most influential cat in his life, Otto. I could've written a whole desc's worth about their 'relationship'/hatred, but I'll try to keep this fairly short. Their relationship became much more than just a rivalry, as it started. For Waterracer, it destroyed his life. I found it interesting trying to learn the mind of a person who was becoming consumed by hate, and in hindsight I feel I could've done better at slowly transitioning, but I think I did a decent job. Waterracer became an interesting character /because/ of Otterstar and I have very little idea how he would've turned out without him. I do think the progression of their encounters was really interesting, and the dynamic that developed. The revolution became the main focus of Waterracer's life, and both I and him were perfectly fine with admitting that haha- either way, having him be known as the revolutionary or even just the cat who Otto doesn't like was awesome :) I also wanted to add the way that their dynamic has helped me as a person. Waterracer and Otterstar's hatred helped me realise some of my own faults, and it gave me a great perspective into the horrible thing called hate. RPing it all out and being in TFCRP this year has also matured me a lot, so thank you to everyone for that <3 ⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️ Sunflame/Sunny <3 Sunny! I'm not really sure where to start tbh. Waterracer and Sunflame were always a total joy to roleplay, and their relationship was such a breath of fresh air, both for me and him :D I think in their last RP I really summed up what Sunny truly meant to Waterracer, a light within the depth of the sea. Sunny was the only thing that kept Waterracer from insanity, ngl. Waterracer looked to Sunflame for guidance in a way he would never admit to anyone but her, and she really brought a majority of the joy and calm that he had in his life. I really loved Rainbow and all that came with it, and I'm a bit sad that it didn't get to last forever </3 I genuinely feel Waterracer wouldn't have survived as long as he did without Sunflame, for both irp and oorp reasons, so thank you for that <3 Also, I wanted to say a thank you to you Scorch <3 (Also I hope you're okay with me calling you that still ^^) I know that demotivation and other factors gave you the choice to remove Sunny a few times over the last year, but I'm glad you kept her as long as you did, and she's an amazing character <3 ⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️ Hawkcrest/Hawky? :') Hawkcrest! I want to start off by saying that I think Hawkcrest is /right/ up there with one of the best characters I've ever seen. Not just in TFCRP, but legitimately in any story I've ever read, and that you (Shad) are a brilliant roleplayer and writer. His conflicting feelings, torn loyalties and general personality is always interesting to read, and I'm honoured to have played a part in his life <3 Hawkcrest and Waterracer's friendship may have been little more than a share of views, but to Waterracer that was still a lot. Hawkcrest was the first cat to introduce doubt into Waterracer's mind at an interesting turning point in his life, that ultimately would define him. Having Hawkcrest by his side actually meant a lot to Waterracer, and he really regarded Hawkcrest as his second ever friend. While their dynamic may have seemed simple, the deeper layers of secrecy and distrust that was beginning to appear always had an unspoken affect on the pair, and true loyalties were never discussed, which I found interesting. Hawkcrest, Sunflame and Waterracer's allyship and foundation of the revolution gave a unique aspect to Waterracer's life, and I'm really happy that he had such an interesting life, so thank you all <3 ⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️⛈️ And that'll just about wrap things up. Again, don't feel bad if your character wasn't mentioned, but I didn't want to keep writing for ages and I wanted to post this before Waterracer's death RP ends. Anyway, I want to say a real thank you to everyone that not only roleplayed with Waterracer or added to his life, but to everyone I've talked to over the last year and a month, for all you guys did to help me become more comfortable talking to people and making conversation, to giving me a creative outlet with likeminded people.
