hello! ✧・゚: this article was requested by @-baelcve !! let's talk: what kpop group ACTUALLY made the biggest impact? let's find out! Many argue about the biggest kpop group and who 'paved the way' a blink would say blackpink, an army would say bts... mabybe even Seo Taiji and Boys? today I'm gonna break it down and we'll discover this together! Seo Taiji and Boys was considered the first ever kpop group, and they definitely started something. However, they're disbanded and we haven't seen their songs very popular in 3-4th gen, maybe even second. Then we have PSY who brought kpop to many people's attention with "gangnam style," a worldwide hit. If you don't know that song you're definitely living under a rock ._. In my opinion, I would say bts. (sorry bp :c) Many people say bts paved the way for kpop, and I agree with that. My reasoning for this whole opinion would be because: They're one of the biggest celebrities ever, like they even went to the Grammy Awards, Jungkook performed at the FIFA World Cup, and almost everyone you talk to will know who BTS is, regardless of if they like them or not. This isn't the only reason, though! BTS also writes songs talking about mental health, self-love, and started some campaigns, even spoke at United Nations! They've changed people's lives, saved them from s31f h@rm, and brought lots of fans togehter. You literally can't say that they didn't have a huge impact- they're also one of the reasons that kpop is so popular today~ so that's all from me, thank you @-baelcve once again for the request/idea! (u should go follow her <3) comment if you have any opinions! have a lovely lovely day humans! :)
