tw: implied d3ath, grief The tombstone I stand in front of is grey, with speckled black dots across its smooth, polished surface. Upon it, your name is engraved in simple, blocky letters. It may be plain, but it represents everything we had. Everything we've now lost. Clutched in my hands are daffodils - your favourite flower, picked from our meadow. They're pretty like you, you used to say. How I wish I could hear you say it once more. I look heavenward, and I am greeted by the sight of cotton candy clouds hanging overhead. They drift lazily; peacefully across the sky while below, my heart rages with grief and anger. Burning, white-hot anger. Because you did not deserve this fate. Because you were sentenced to an unjust death. And so, standing at the feet of your grave, I make a promise to you and hide it away in my heart. I will avenge you. I want to tell you that I love you one more time. I want to tell you that you won't die in vain. Alas, it is only a wish. For now, you are beyond the clouds.
