Moonblind reached a hand towards Solaryx and she shakily took it, a feeling of dread filling her stomach. “We’re almost done,” Moonblind explained. “All we need to do is numb you and then the real Conversion will start.” The white panther smiled kindly at the bleached fox. A deilenaar rabbit, smaller than Moonblind, but taller than her, with large ears walked into the room. Her bushy tail twitched as she reached towards Solaryx’s right hand, holding some sort of cloth with a strong smelling substance on it. She was wearing gloves in order to handle the substance. Solaryx pulled away suddenly, blinking at the rabbit and the panther nervously. She pushed her hands into her lap. “Hey… Solaryx, what’s going on? You said you were excited to do this,” Moonblind replied, lowering his body and voice to her level. The bleached fox sighed lightly. “I know, but… Hunter scared me. He’s my scary big brother,” she huffed, her tail lashing. “Oh… I heard that conversation,” Moonblind chuckled gently. “No, no, of course, there’s no needles involved.” Solaryx gave a breath of relief, swinging her legs idly as she grinned at Moonblind. “Oh, that’s good,” she exhaled. As the bleached fox relaxed, a sudden mischievous grin formed on the panther's face as he reached forward. “But, I never said anything about ‘no tickles!’” he laughed, beginning to gently tickle the fox’s sides. The bleached fox gasped, letting out a squeal, followed by hysterical giggling. “Th-That tickles!!” she managed to squeak out through her laughter. The rabbit who was still holding the cloth, smiled at the tender scene, and while the bleached fox was distracted, coming forward and firmly, yet gently gripping onto the bleached fox’s wrist. She began rubbing the creamy substance through her fur and onto her skin beneath it, making small circles. Moonblind continued working on scribbling his claws against Solaryx’s sides, eliciting a scream from the fox as she continued laughing. Once the rabbit had finished, Moonblind pulled away, chuckling lightly. “Thank you, Niko,” he mumbled quietly to the deilenaar rabbit. Niko nodded once, quickly leaving to dispose of her gloves and cloth. Solaryx was panting lightly, her tail still wagging frantically behind her as her ears perked up, still giggling softly. “I can’t feel my palm…” she laughed quietly at the odd tingling sensation in her hand. “Yup, that’s the point. This is a numbing agent,” Moonblind told her. “Absorbs into your skin within seconds! It’s really quite fascinating. You won’t feel a thing in your Conversion.” Solaryx blinked up at Moonblind, her tail whisking happily as she hopped off the counter she was sitting on, walking towards the general direction of her family. Moonblind began to follow her, until he felt Niko gently grip his arm, a worried look on her face. “Are… are you sure this is going to go right, Moon?” Niko questioned him, her nose twitching worriedly. “I mean, it’s one thing to turn a mortal into a Furorian, but to turn an- already immortal, might I add, Ataraxian into one? There are so many risks to this operation it’s just-” she attempted to continue before her hand was comfortingly squeezed by Moonblind. She glanced up at him, slightly confused. “Niko, you’re going to have to trust me on this one, my dear,” Moonblind assured her with a smile. Niko inhaled deeply and exhaled. “For your sake,” she paused. “I hope you’re right, Moonblind. Clovedian will hate you if anything happens to his little girl-” “She’s my little girl, too, Niko,” Moonblind interrupted. His ear twitched and his tail lashed crossly. Niko hesitated, before nodding, “Yes, of course, your shared little girl…” “Calm down,” Moonblind assured her. “Nothing’s going to happen to her. I mean, hypothetically, what’s the worst that can happen?” he chuckled, shrugging nonchalantly before pulling away from Niko, beginning to follow in the direction Solaryx went. The deilenaar rabbit placed her hands to her chest, her nose twitching once again with worry. Just in case, she quickly grabbed a first aid kit, clutching it to her chest and following Moonblind. It was just in case, though, like Moonblind had said, what’s the worst that could happen?
