Press flag, put in turbo mode, watch for a few mins, leave for a while, see if it can solve it :D
The car has a genetic algorithm. This means, it evolves by itself to reach a goal. That goal, in this case, is the purple spot. Every generation, it will pick the top 10 that got closest on the last generation, make 10 copies of each, and change each one slightly. This means, it will eventually solve the maze.
