Solaryx swallowed thickly, staring at the small, yet deep, red colored holes on her palm. A wave of nausea suddenly washed over her, her cheeks becoming a flustered red. “Yes… yes, I did,” Moonblind replied, taking out a handkerchief from his pocket and wiping the outer corners of his mouth. “I hope that I didn’t hurt you.” Solaryx shook her head. She didn’t feel any different. She dragged her gaze across the room towards her family. Her father didn’t look fazed from this, for some strange reason, in fact, he looked relieved. Her mother looked regretful, as if she felt that they all had made a large mistake in Solaryx’s Conversion. Hunter, although trying to look unfazed, was almost as white as a sheet, his eyes locked on Solaryx’s hand, before he quickly glanced up at the bleached fox. He then looked up at Clovedian, who placed a somewhat comforting hand on his shoulder. Solaryx smiled weakly at Hunter, in an attempt to comfort him, but it felt wrong. No, not just how morally wrong this felt, but something actually felt wrong with her. A wave of dizziness, along with nausea washed over her. She stumbled backwards, her legs suddenly giving into her weight as she felt a sharp pain and tightness in her chest. The young bleached fox began to gasp agonally for air. Moonblind felt his stomach drop. At this point, he wanted to melt into the floor. The white panther rushed forward, holding the side of Solaryx’s face. “Solaryx!” he yelped, trying to catch her attention, enough to keep her awake. The bleached fox couldn’t respond to him. She only gave a wheeze, though it hardly counted as an answer. She could hear her heart thumping in her ears, as if it was right in her throat. Her stomach continued to feel as if it was twisting and writhing inside of her, as if it were alive. Although her hand was numb, all she could feel was her muscles tightening and tensing within the rest of her body. The feeling sent painful spasms and sudden jolts of agony through each of her limbs. Clovedian’s heart jumped to his throat as he immediately rushed to Moonblind’s aid, the rabbit hopping after him quickly.
“What- What’s happening?” the albino blonde hedgehog cried, her eyes immediately shining with tears, blinking at Solaryx rapidly. She swallowed thickly as the rabbit hopped past her and Hunter, quickly saying, “Please, if you two don’t mind, stay back here.” Lorelei hesitated but soon nodded, stepping back from the circle, entrapping Solaryx, Clovedian, Moonblind, and Niko. Hunter attempted to advance himself towards his sister. He wasn’t going to let her d//e. The hedgehog gripped Hunter’s arm gently, pulling him back. “Hunter, stay back here,” she whimpered, biting her lip. She hoped that the three surrounding her daughter would be able to reverse this Conversion somehow. Clovedian’s gaze locked with Moonblind’s and the panther couldn’t help but flinch. “You said this would be safe…! What the [heck] happened?!” he cried, gripping Solaryx’s small body in his arms, pulling the fox away from Moonblind. The white panther swallowed, before saying, “It should’ve been safe. She’s an immortal, it should be impossible for this to happen!” Clovedian opened his mouth to say something before feeling a tight grip on his wrist. Hurt flashed through the gaze of the Alexander Archipelago wolf as he stared down at Solaryx’s blue eyes, which had been clouded by tears the whole time. The bleached fox seemed to give him an almost apologetic look, still gasping and wheezing. “Solaryx?” Clovedian questioned softly, brushing the hair out of her face. The fox tightened her grip on his hand as Niko began to check her vitals. The deilenaar rabbit noted her blood pressure was 80/40 and dropping quickly. Quicker than she could work. The rabbit pulled away for a moment, swallowing hard. The fox was going to die, and she knew it. “Solaryx?” he questioned, this time louder, trying to catch her attention. “Don’t- don’t close your eyes, don’t g-go to sleep,” he whispered, squeezing her hand. Despite the rabbit telling Hunter and Lorelei to stay back, they ultimately ignored it, the two of them rushing forth to comfort the bleached fox. Solaryx’s eyelids fluttered open as she tried her best to breathe. She was quickly feeling more and more dizzy and nauseous. “Can you not do something?!” the albino blonde hedgehog cried, blinking the tears from her eyes. Niko swallowed again before shaking her head slowly. “No. The venom’s in her blood stream. There’s too much for me to do anything about it, Miss Volkovic.” The Alexander Archipelago wolf paled as he pulled the bleached fox into a tight hug. He couldn’t lose her, he just couldn’t. This was such a mistake, letting the fox convert to a Furorian. He knew it was dangerous, but he thought she could handle it. She had always been a strong girl. Solaryx finally gave in, her vision clouding with darkness. Her eyelids stayed barely parted, though she stopped breathing and moving. The fox’s grip loosened on Clovedian’s hand. “Solaryx? Solaryx?” Lorelei questioned, panic shooting through her voice. She gently shook the fox. “Solaryx!” she yelled, tears finally running down her fuzzy cheeks. Her hands immediately shot up to her mouth, let out a trembling sob. Hunter was crouched over his sister as he gently touched the side of her face. It was already feeling cold. Her lips were a bluish color, her fingertips already blue as well. The wolf hybrid felt some sort of liquid running down his cheeks, realizing quickly that he had been crying the entire time. Hunter gently took Solaryx’s body, pulling it close to his and burying his face into the nook of her shoulder and neck, beginning to give muffled sobs. The deilenaar rabbit stared with wide eyes, pushing past the family before pressing two fingers to the side of the fox’s neck. After feeling no pulse, she pulled away, looking up at Moonblind solemnly, shaking her head. “She’s gone,” Niko responded. The female hedgehog gave loud sobs as she gripped both her son and now deceased daughter. The white panther blinked rapidly. His stomach was weighed down with guilt as he stared, frozen, at the small fox. What have I done? He thought, blinking rapidly. I should’ve never convinced this family to- though his thoughts were quickly interrupted, before the Alexander Archipelago wolf snarled loudly. “What have you done!?” he barked, standing over the panther now.
