He wasn't given a name until he was rescued by his most recent owner. Before becoming a SpaceKat, he was a Siberian cat; he became a SpaceKat during his mid to late adolescence and he is currently in his late adolescence/young adult stage of life. He's technically an orphan and he has PTSD because of his past, but he generally tries to be a sociable and upbeat guy. He has an extreme distrust of dogs. He's not that smart and kind of stubborn. He enjoys cracking the occasional dad joke or annoying others with his deadpan sense of humor, but he's usually pretty good with cutting the funny business if/when a serious situation rolls around. He has a major problem with asking for/accepting help from others, it makes him feel like he's wasting said others' time. Backstory (Warning: Discussion of dog fights and the cruelty involved in them) - Glow Worm, or Green as he was referred to before given a proper name, was born as a Siberian cat. He was sadly a product of dog fighters wanting bait. He was only a couple months old when his lighter colored fur was dyed green, and he was used as a betting chip in a dog fight. People watching would make bets on which colored cat would survive the longest or d1e first. He was injured a lot, but not fatally, and he was lucky enough to escape. Outside of the dog fight ring, he was found by a kind young woman who immediately rushed him to the vet. She named him Glow Worm and made sure to be very patient with him over the course of his recovery process. His wounds had healed after about a month, but he walked with a slight limp up until shortly before his owner and him had started their journey to space. His owner and her crew stationed themselves just outside of an asteroid belt, studying if it would be possible to use the asteroids in future space-related inhabitation attempts. Their motion radar had broken after the first few days, so it was too soon when they realized an asteroid was heading straight for them. It blew a hole into the side of their ship, sucking everyone out, but there was some weird alien magic on the asteroid which reacted to Glow Worm's DNA and caused him to rapidly mutate into the SpaceKat he is today.
