.・。.・゜✭・ desc ・✫・゜・。. ⇰ digital art process! ⇰ heya friendos how ya doing :) sorry for being kind of inactive this month, I started a new semester in school and I’ve been busy oops. But I’ve been procrastinating this for a while and finally started to finish it! You can use this as a tutorial it’s just not really professional. The program I use autodesk sketchbook but it should be pretty similar if your using a different software. Feel free to ask questions if you need help! .・。.・゜✭・process・✫・゜・。. 1 ◦ ok yeah so I’m gonna be redrawing a scene from inanimate insanity but with the design I made for lightbulb so these are my reference images. Using references is really good you should always use references 2 ◦ ok here’s the finished sketch. Ik it’s really low quality I couldn’t make it any better sorry oops. 3 ◦ ok I noticed she was leaning to the right kind of so I fixed that idk. Uh but here’s the lineart. 4 ◦ ok here’s a tutorial on how I do coloring uuuh idk if this is how your supposed to do it this is just how i do it. I duplicate the lineart layer first. 5 ◦ then on the first lineart layer you erase bits so that the whole lineart is open ig idk how to explain it. 6 ◦ then your gonna use this magic wand tool thing idk what it looks like on other programs sorry. 7 ◦ then using the tool select the inside of the erased lineart 8 ◦ and then select your lineart tool and color it in. 9 ◦ ok then lock the layer you colored on and select the base color for your drawing and color over it again. Sorry if that was hard to follow I’m really unprofessional sorry :’( 10 ◦ if you want to change the color of your lineart as shown on the image just lock the lineart layer and color it however you wish 11 ◦ ok here’s how it looks once I finished the coloring. And we’re gonna start shading this, so I make a new layer again. 12 ◦ and change the blend mode to soft light. I think other softwares have pretty similar modes but overlay and glow work pretty well too. 13 ◦ then for shading go to the soft light or whatever mode layer and color on it with black. I’m really bad at shading so if you want to know how to shade properly, there are some really good tutorials elsewhere on scratch and on YouTube, so I recommend you check those out if you want to know more. 14 ◦ this step is optional but in my opinion it makes the drawing look better. Once your done drawing your shading you can use any blend tool to smoothen out the shading to make it seem more realistic kind of idk. 15 ◦ this is the drawing so far after shading. 16 ◦ ok uuhhh background time. I’m really really bad at backgrounds so sorry :( but this is how the background looks after a whole ton of blending. The reason it looks ugly in the middle is because that’s where the character is standing. Feel free to use as many layers as you need for the bg cuz I tend to use a lot. 17 ◦ alright. I added my watermark in the corner and here is how the finished product turned out! Thank you so much for visiting this project uuh i hope this helped even a little but um idk how to make tutorials I’m sorry T-T this is mostly just to show of my process lol. .・。.・゜✭・credits・✫・゜・。. ➸ Character ◦ lightbulb; inanimate insanity ◦ design; me ➸ art ◦ me ➸ code ◦ me ➸ song ◦ field of hopes and dreams - Toby fox .・。.・゜✭・thanks so much :D・✫・゜・。.
