She pours the lemonade into three cups. One goes in the hole in the tree. One goes on the flat tree root. One stays within her hands. He hops to a lower branch and takes his cup. They sit up and take their cup. They all take a drink. She watches and waits, quiet. She had always been the best at listening. In the meantime, though, she thinks she'll pour everyone another cup.
