This is a follow-up to "It's not fun anymore." If you haven't already, go read it: https://scratch.mit.edu/projects/790931461/ NOTICE: PLEASE READ THE WHOLE THING BEFORE COMMENTING! No, seriously. Please do read the whole thing before commenting. ========================================== I'm running out of passion for Scratch. Here's why: 1. Good luck putting that on a college resume or a job application! Scratch is not a programming language that is used professionally. It's a kids' site. 2. It would be more fun to make games out of fresh, new programming languages. I've been on Scratch for 6 years, so unfortunately I've already squeezed the novelty out of it. 3. Scratch has garbage moderation. Other sites (such as Steam, etc.) have vastly superior moderation. Plus, those platforms are directed towards EVERYONE*, not just kids! -=- WHAT ABOUT RHYTHMIC ROUGHHOUSING? -=- I've noticed a pattern in my announced games that got canceled. 1. I announce a grandiose game right when the idea is in my head. 2. I work on it for about a month at most. 3. I get bored of it and cancel it. Unfortunately, it seems that I made that same mistake with Rhythmic Roughhousing. So sadly, a big chunk of the game is being cut. I hope you understand. This was a hard decision to make, given that the chunk I'm coming out includes a Story Mode for the game. Rhythmic Roughhousing will still be released, but it'll be just the bare bones. I hope you'll still have fun with it regardless. :) Please leave your thoughts about this in the comments! I'd like to hear them so I can improve as both a person and a developer.
