1. start with a flattened out rainbow shape thing. this is the upper eyelid. it's okay if it's messy. 2. from the outer corner of the eyelid, draw a curved line that comes up a bit at the end for the bottom/outer side of the eye. add a lil line to kind of connect it and to add the inner pocket. the two lines shouldn't come all the way back up. 3. inside the eye, add an oval. it can be anywhere you like and should be pretty big. shade the oval from the top to the middle. i used cross-hatching but you don't have to. 4. darken the shading at the top as well as add a darker ring around the outside of the iris. add the pupil. 5. add a lil almost triangle that very nearly connects to the small line. it should come pretty close to the upper eyelid as well. 6. add a little line that almost completes the almost triangle, making it a small pocket. take a grey, low opacity airbrush and brush inside the pocket, along the top of the white of the eye as well as the side of the white that is opposite your light source. (for example: if light was coming in from the left, you would shade the right.) now add a little line under the eye for the eye bag. don't forget upper lashes! 7. add a highlight near the top of the eye, so more in shadow. position the eyebrow however you'd like. congrats! you're done!
program used: kleki remember, this is just a basic tutorial. you can play around with shapes, sizes and lashes to create different eyes for different people, as not everyone has the exact same eye. there is a lot more detail and character you can add. try playing around with this tutorial to find your ideal technique, especially since this was a boredom project. it's not all of my ability and depending on your art style and skill level can look a lot different.
