◖-Bored-◗ A short story by Tangerine_Freckles ◖Part 1 of 2◗ Marge laid flat on her back on top of the comforter. Her breaths were slow, like she was sleeping, but her bright green eyes were open wide. She started at the ceiling while she rhythmically tapped her slipper clad foot against her bed frame. The beat matched up loosely with the pop songs that could faintly be heard through her bedroom wall. Sunday's had always been slow for Marge. Her protestant parents would file her youngest sibling off to church and leave their two atheist teenagers at home to quote and quote " Look after the house" Like anything would happen in their isolated suburban neighborhood. It was barley 9:00 in the morning and Marge was bored, bored of the ceiling, bored of laying on her bed. And bored of the cheesy pop hits that were now engraved in her head permanently. Marge flopped out of bed, Her shoulders slumped and brown curls a frizzy mess. She yawned as she opened her bedroom door. Which lead into the kitchen-dining room combo. Next door was her 14 year old sister Emily's room. The door had been ty-dyed with splatters of orange, gold, and Pastel yellow. Plus the dozens of glittery golden stars that were scattered in groups around the edges. Instead of Admiring the glittering specks and splashes of color like she usually did, Marge barged straight into her sisters room. Interrupting a video chat with some one who was obviously Emily's boyfriend. Emily's face paled her amber eyes darted to her laptop screen and then to her door she muttered an unidentifiable profanity and slammed the laptop shut. " GET OUT!!" She jumped up from the pile of squish-mallows and pillows she had been sitting on. " Not till you turn down that gosh dang music! My poor ears have been listening to the same 15 songs for the past HOUR!!" Marge placed her hands on her hips and stared down her little sister. Witch was actually very easy since Marge happened to be a good foot taller then the 14 year old fuming in front of her. Cora rolled her eyes and flopped onto her bed. "Fine. Just get out," Cora Spat in response. She turned down the Pop songs to a reasonable volume and turned away from her sister. Marge scoffed and Walked out of the dimly lit room. And she was bored again. ◖End of part 1◗ ▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞▞ Released-9:48pm Friday 2/3/23
