tws syringe/needle, implied s3lf harm. the filterbot won't let me say it byte - he/it Nerit (ney-reet) - they/them anyway here's more lore that i will never do anything with byte, a defunct care droid, escapes his fate of termination by sneaking his way into a box. nerit, a disabled teenager living in refugee housing, hasn't gone outside in two years. they just wanted a cleaning droid to help with all of the housework that's accumulated in their lethargy, but found byte instead. byte's programmed instincts to take care of people and nerit's bitter agreement to let it live with them result in an odd friendship. nerit is forced to confront their c-ptsd as byte helps reintroduce them into the outside world, and byte tries to navigate a world not built for droids like him.
