doodling when ur bored is actually shown to be beneficial. famous people, such as Steve Jobs, Queen Victoria, Ronald Reagan doodle when they were bored, and it actually helped them focus. in fact, more than half of the U.S. presidents doodled. a researcher by the name of Jackie Andrade did an experiment in 2009 to see if doodling was actually helping people focus. she got 40 people (i think 40) and split them into 2 groups. 1 group would doodle while listening to a 2 minute boring phone call. the other group wouldn't doodle. turns out, the group that doodled remembered 29% more information after the call. lets say ur hearing a boring lecture in history class. ur mind may become tired or sleepy. you may even start daydreaming and lose focus. doodling a small sketch of the topic you're listening/learning about can help you focus better. it gives your brain a small break but still makes it alert to know what is going on. it also relaxes the mind. for example, if you're learning about magma, you would probably draw a volcano. however, there is still a possibility for doodling to become a distraction. if it becomes into finishing a graphic novel or drawing a detailed pic of ur cat, u prob not focusing on anything else. this is why its important to doodle something related to what ur trying to focus on. only doodle in class if ur 100% sure that ur teacher won't get mad. i dont want u to get in trouble in class lol. my friend got in trouble just because she was drawing a star while we were learning about the galaxy. alr, that's all i have to say. thx for reading <3 pls leave a heart and a star if u enjoyed reading, and pls consider following me, ty <33 ㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤㅤ- adorinqkuromii (gwen)
