I decided to do this too because yes. So, how did Raven, the online representation of me, come to be? It's... a long story. It all started back when me and Scout were writing books together. At that time I was also writing a book on my own about werewolves. (Whaaaa? Me? Writing about WEREWOLVES?! Since when?! /sar /j) One of the characters was an all-black werewolf named Raven (Sound familiar?)-- She was the beta of the werewolf pack. When I joined Scratch, I named my account after her. Eventually, Raven the werewolf and Raven the wolf grew separate. Raven the self-representation was given wings, too, because it is literally impossible for me to make a character without wings. At some point in time I also gave her feathers behind her ears because yes. Now, how I became a furry. It was actually an accident! I got a how to draw furries book a while back, and at that point the only kind of "furry" I knew were anthro animals themselves. So, on Scratch, I put that I was a furry, in reference to anthro animals rather than the community. Then, Scout put a comment on my project that got me curious. Their exact words were: "Most of the stuff I already knew, but not that you were a furry! My dad got me a mask, so I'm one, too." At the time, we didn't know much about the fandom. I, for one, was very confused by this comment, so I googled "what does it mean if someone is a furry." And I stumbled upon the wonderful fandom! For a while I was o b s e s s e d with getting/making my own fursuit (I didn't know you didn't need one to be a furry). I decided I also needed a fursona. I created Tigernight, and I wanted my first fursuit to be of her. (She's no longer a fursona, just an OC.) Anyway, back to Raven... So, now that I was a furry, Raven was one of my fursonas. Now, what about her redesign? When did I add the green? Well, one time I was making a memix, and it was Raven. Before I had colored her left ear, I realized that the mismatched ears looked really cool, but I didn't like the white, so I colored it green. I liked the design, and I've kept it ever since! I added the other details (bandana, hair) as I discovered I was aroace and genderfluid, respectively. And that's all, I think! Thanks for reading!
