You need to keep your energy above 0 by collecting tokens, using it wisely, and avoiding missiles! The shield (blue circle) activates when you are hit by a missile, it protects you from it and any other missiles for a short time, at the cost of 200 energy, and you can't fly or collect energy token while the shield is active. If your energy is below 200 when you're hit, it is game over.
