After a while of running, I slowed down. The sun had started to set and I finally made it to the Human Town. I walked slowly onto the hard black dirt. Once I crossed it, I went to the place where I found Berry after she was abandoned. When I got there, I could smell other cats. A lot of them too. I slowly sneaked into the Human den and climbed up on top of a big blue machine. It was cold. There was a cat talking to the group of cats. I could barely make out what their "leader" looked like. It sounded like a she-cat. "Hey there! You've come to listen to Wish order everyone around?" asked someone. I nearly jumped out of my fur. There was a small yellow cat sitting next to me. I hadn't even realized he was there. "Who are you?" I asked. "Oh! I'm Troutpaw. What's your name?" he said in an unnerving to kind tone. "I'm Smoke. And who's Wish?" "Wish is the gray she-cat that's speaking. She's basically the ring leader around here. Do what she says or your in trouble." Troutpaw shivered. I didn't like the way Troutpaw described Wish with such hatred in his voice. "Do you live here?" he asked. "No. I live in the forest with my sister. Have you seen her? She's tan with brown patches and has a pink and green eye." I asked hoping he had seen her. "Nope! Sorry. Wait, did you says she had different colored eyes?" he asked looking intense. "Y-yes. Does that matter?" He grabbed my front paw and pulled me to the front of the huge den. He stopped once we were in front of Wish. She stopped talking and looked down at us. "What's this?" she asked. "I brought you the cat you've been looking for." said Troutpaw, pushing me up towards her. "He doesn't have the eyes." she said sounding mad. "I know. But his sister does." End of Chapter 8!
