TW: MILD LANGUAGE AND SOME EWIE MOMENTS Song: Boyfriend - Dove Cameron Story: Will works up the nerve to ask out Mike Thank you @byler- for requesting this! I'm so sorry it took so long to come out ^^ cxxx{}:::::::::::::::::::::::::::> The sun was setting and the rattling of a bike could be heard as Will pedaled down the street as fast as he could. He was late. Very, very late. He was upset at himself, how could he forget the biggest night of his life? His best friend’s birthday. The party was supposed to start at 5, it was 6:30 already and he still had two more miles to go. He panted harshly, the cold wind bringing more tears to his eyes. His bag hit him with every pedal he did, stabbing into his back. He cursed aloud to himself as he finally arrived. The lights had all been turned off, besides the little light he could see from the basement windows. He knocked on the door, trying to catch his breath. After a while, Mrs. Wheeler answered, smiling down at him. “Better late than never, I guess. Mike is in the basement, be quick.” He nodded, running in the house and down the stairs. He stopped at the basement door, taking a deep breath. “You’ll be fine Will, everything will be okay. I’m sure he’ll understand that I was just late. Simply that.” He slowly opened the door, Mike’s face inches from his as soon as he did. Will quickly stepped back, his face heating up. “There you are!! I was starting to get worried, what took you so long?” Mike asked, grabbing his arm and dragging him in. Will sighed, glad he wasn’t angry. “It’s pretty late, you wanna spend the night?” Mike asked, throwing a blanket at him. “Uh, sure. I just gotta call my mom first.” “No need, I just called her,” Mrs. Wheeler said from behind them. “She said it was fine, Will.” Will nodded, grinning. Mike threw a pillow at him, one in his other hand. “Pillow fight?” Will laughed, picking it up. “Pillow fight!!” They hit each other with pillows, sometimes with a blanket. They continued this for a while, until Will hit Mike a lil too hard. “Shit!!” Mike yelled, holding his nose. Will quickly dropped the pillows, rushing over to him. “Are you okay?” Mike nodded, removing his hand, it was bleeding. “I’ll be right back, don’t move!” Will stood up, looking around the room for something cold. He eventually found a frozen soda can, rushing back over to him. He lightly placed it on Mike’s nose, him wincing slightly. “Make sure you look up so the blood flow will stop.” Mike hummed in response, holding onto the can as he did as told. “God, I’m so sorry, Mikey,” Will said quietly, holding onto the can as well. “It’s fine, really. You’d be surprised how much this has happened.” Will sighed, shaking his head. “Idiot.” Mike scoffed, “Come on, you know you can’t resist my charm!” Will chuckled, “Whatever helps you sleep at night, bud.” Mike grinned, grabbing one of Will’s hands. Will turned a bit pink, though it had gone unnoticed by Mike. “You don’t have to worry about me so much, Will. I mean, don’t get me wrong, I love being babied by you. You only, but you worry too much for it to be good for you, man.” Will sighed, nodding. “I know, but I just can’t help it! You’re my best friend, I don’t think I’d even know what to do without you around,” he said quietly. Mike smiled, squeezing his hand, “I promise nothing will happen to me, so stop worrying so much!” The other boy nodded again, smiling. “Hey, Mikey?” “Yea?” “I love you.” cxxx{}:::::::::::::::::::::::::::>
cxxx{}:::::::::::::::::::::::::::> Will jolted awake, his alarm going off. Great, such a wonderful dream to start off a horrid day. He sighed, turning it off as he pulled off his covers. Today was his 18th birthday, it had been two years today since he had lost one of his best friends to his new sister. He could never hold it against either of them though, it wasn’t really their fault. To him, at least. His brother wasn’t all that happy with it. Jonathan hated the fact that for the past two years, Mike and El had been off on a date for his birthday. And today was the biggest deal since. He was turning 18 for goodness sake! His brother had clearly stated that everyone had to be there, no matter what. But Will wasn’t all that excited for it. Suddenly there was a knock on the door, it was his mother. “Will, sweetie? It’s time to get up, you’ve gotta get to school.” Will sighed, quickly getting dressed for the day. He stared at the canvas in the corner of his room as he grabbed his bag. It was going to be a present for Mike when he came to visit again. He grabbed a tarp from the floor, throwing it over the painting. He didn’t want to think of it right now, he didn’t feel like making his day worse. He walked out of his room, El on the kitchen phone, most likely talking to Mike, gave him a small wave as she chatted away. Will sped out of the house, not feeling like dealing with any more headaches this morning. He hopped on his bike, his brand new one that was already scuffed up and dirty. He had just gotten it from his brother, who had decided he needed other things to distract him from the heartache. He began biking off to school, the dream still fresh on his mind. Why had he been dreaming about that? It had been years since either of them had told each other they loved the other, even if it was only platonic. Will had tried it right before Mike and El had started dating, it was a horrible idea. He promised himself he’d never do it again, even now, when his feelings for the other were more there. More exposed. “Shit!” he cursed, swerving to avoid a mailbox. He lost control of the bike, crashing into a nearby ditch. He quickly sat up, untangling his legs from the bike. He stood up, wincing from the pain in his left leg. He fell down, tears brimming his eyes. “This is just wonderful,” he said aloud to himself. He held tightly onto his leg, tears falling down his now flushed cheeks. He didn’t know how long he sat there, but once he looked up it looked almost midday. Mom was going to kill him. But how could he get home like this? A possibly broken leg and a flat tire on his bike. He scooted more into the ditch, standing up again. He leaned against a nearby tree, releasing the pressure from his leg. A car drove past, immediately stopping near him. Someone got out, he couldn’t tell who, he was on the verge of passing out from the pain. “Will?” the stranger said. How did they know his name? “Will! Stay with me man!! What happened?” That was the last thing he heard before he passed out. He recognized the voice though, it was Mike.
