---[ Controls ]--- Use arrow keys to walk around X to interact and Z+X to use hoe ---{ Full Walk through }--- (Spoilers ahead if you want the joy of discovering new plants yourself don't scroll down) Spawning in: First you'll notice a grassy field with about 9-10 weeds. weeds can spread onto adjacent grass tiles so make sure you don't let them get out of control. - Uproot Weeds by pressing [X]. However you'll want to save some weeds to turn into gold grass. First plant: To get your first plant growing - Hoe a Weed by using [Z] + [X] This will turn the weed into hoed ground with gold grass sprouts already growing in it. careful though as you can VERY easily trample young plants. as they grow they become harder to trample, eventually not being trample-able at all. Expanding your farm: Once your gold grass has reached maturity it will start producing seeds. to spread the seeds of a plant simply - Use [Z] + [X] to hoe the ground on one side of the plant on the opposite side of the plant face towards the empty ground and - Press [X] to spread seeds. this will cause a sprout to start growing in the empty soil. Note that spreading seeds to already grown plants will make them grow a little bit more. Mutations: Mutations have a small chance to occur whenever you spread a plant using seeds. After farming gold grass for a little bit there is a 1/25 chance that its seeds mutate into silver grass seeds. this is shown by a bluish hue. Terra forming: At this stage of the game you probably want to organize your farm and to do that you might want to consider starting to - Remove farm land using [Z] + [X] after doing this you are left with upturned earth - Use [X] to clear upturned earth However weeds cannot grow on upturned earth so you may want to consider making paths out of it. Quartspike: If you spread gold grass seeds to grass then they convert back into weeds, the same is true for silver grass. spreading silver grass seeds onto grass results in Quartspike, a much more annoying and hard to deal with weed. - Uprooting this with [Z] + [X] while there is enough of it will result in a desert-like wasteland.
