Starts learning flute, parents tell her about LGBTQ and that she should support it. Gets a kitten named Asher. Age 10- Frankie, she/her, ally. Starts middle school, has one very close friend, starts going by a nickname, cuts hair shorter. Joins band. Age 11- Frankie, she/her, bi. Comes out at school is bullied, her friend turns out to be homophobic. Her parents don’t know yet but she plans to come out to them soon. Age 12- Frankie, she/they, bi, demigirl. Gets her first crush on a boy, comes out to parents as bi, makes friends with a nice trans boy. Grows out hair, no dysphoria. Age 13- Frankie, she/they/flor, genderfae, bi, rejected by their crush, most of flors teachers are homophobic, very few friends. Age 14- Frankie, she/flor, bi, demigirl. Starts high school and joins GSA. Dyes her hair, meets a new friend group through GSA. Age 15- Frances, he/him, trans, pan. Likes being masculine and has some dysphoria, but parents find out and assume he’s full trans. New crush on a girl. Quits band. Age 16- Frannie, she/her, cis, pan, ace. Doubts everything, suppresses her identity and runs away from home to get away from her parents, who still want her to be a boy. Lives with her best friend, re-dyes hair. Age 17- Frankie, she/he/they, genderfluid, pan, ace. Starts dating her crush, is getting good grades and wants to be an engineer. Rejoins band. Realizes he prefers a more feminine presentation. Age 18- Frankie, she/he/flor, pangender, pan, ace, makes amends with her parents but still lives with her friend. Flor decides to do more music in collage, along with engineering. Other people: Frankie’s mom: Ida, she/her, ally. Loves Frankie but always wanted a son, admits she made the wrong decision suppressing Frankie’s identity. Frankie’s dad: William, he/him, ally. Always loved Frankie as he was, regretted going along with Frankie being a boy. Ex-best friend: Violet, she/her, homophobic. Was a good friend to Frankie, but was raised by homophobic parents. Never made up with Frankie but later in life she realized she made the wrong decision to push Frankie away. Middle school friend: Rowan, he/they, transmasc, pan. Frankie’s only friend in middle school, they weren’t super close but had similar experiences. They had a crush on Frankie for a bit but knew she didn’t like him. Middle school crush: Sam, he/him. Never really spoke to Frankie, wasn’t super supportive of LGBTQ. Best friend: Brooklyn, they/she, lesbian, agender. Frankie stayed with them after running away. Met Frankie in 9th grade and helped her through high school. High school friend: Kai, he/xe/it, demiboy, gay. Didn’t like Frankie at first but trusted Brooklyn’s judgement. He plays oboe and sits near Frankie in band. High school friend: Rose, she/her, transfem, aroace. Mom of the friend group, always wants the best for her friends. Loves The Owl House. Girlfriend: Scarlett, she/it, demigirl, lesbian, ace. Was friends with Frankie in high school, they bonded over both being demigirls at the time, always loves Frankie for who flor is.
