It only took Knightly a few moments to recognize the amulet around Onyx's neck. He'd seen it worn my sirens. The jewel was a little piece of Divine Matter, commonly known as magic, from the Lord of Lust himself. The blue stone contrasted with Onyx's startling green eyes and malachite freckles. "Where'd you get that little trinket?" Knightly asked, grabbing Onyx by the leg and pulling him to the ground. Onyx got up before Knightly could attack again. "Oh, you know, treasure hunting," Onyx said, an obvious lie. "I know you stole it. That's Divine Matter, not some sapphire stone. No Basic Humanoid should have that in their possession," Knightly had no idea how it wasn't hurting Onyx to wear that, it needed powerful lust to draw from, or it'd kill it's owner. Knightly's sharp blue eyes hunted him for the source of Onyx's lust, but his lust wasn't for a person, but a place. Onyx just wanted a home. The longing filled him to the point he wasn't afraid of the man before him. Knightly lunged for the jewel and Onyx grabbed his arm in response. Knightly felt blood rush to his face and his pulse quickened. This feeling was strange and new. Knightly labeled it as loathing, and pulled away. Onyx disappeared into the night.
