Flamecrackle trotted along the path back towards camp. The forest was dark, but she didn't mind, because her paws inexplicably gave of light, the darker it got. Of course, that didn't stop the staring eyes and creepy noises. But then she heard something unlike the rest of the sounds. It sounded like crying... but of nothing she'd heard before. Despite that, she went towards it, already sympathetic for something she could hear but not see. She pushed through some bushes, and saw something shed never seen before. Instead of all over, it just had fur on its head. It was of a light red color. It was wearing some sort of sheet made of leaves, and had two tails. "Uh... hello?" Flamecrackle said slowly. "Who are you?" Asked a small, female voice in front of her. "I'm Flamecrackle." The fox said. "Please don't think I'm rude, but who and what are you?" The little creature lifted its head. "I'm Garu." She said. "I'm a human-fox." Flamecrackle stared in awe. "Human," she repeated. "But fox?" Garu nodded. "Well you look close to my age, or are you just bigger?" Flamecrackle asked. "I'm probably around your age, yeah," The little fox girl answered. Flamecrackle looked around. "Where's your mom? Or any family, for that matter?" She scanned the area but didn't see anything else. "You mean you're not my sister?" Garu asked. "N-no I just got here!" Flamecrackle reddened. "Aw... can you pretend to be my sister, then?" Garu squeaked. "Uh, I-I guess, sure." Flamecrackle stuttered. "Uh, I guess I should take you to camp, I can't just leave you here." Garu smiled. "Thanks sister," she said. So Flamecrackle showed her the way to camp. "Who and what is this?" Snowrapture, the leader, asked. "I'm Garu, a human-fox!" The fox girl introduced herself. "And this is my sister!" She pointed at Flamecrackle. "I know who that is- wait, what do you mean, 'your sister'?" Snowrapture looked between the two in confusion. "She wants me to pretend to be her sister." Flamecrackle explained, embarrassed. "We're not ACTUALLY related." Snowrapture looked amused. "I see. Well, since you brought this - kit? Human? - fox into the clan, she will be your responsibility. Now... get out of my den."
