Falling Twilight chapter 9

Snowrapture smelled Voidclan foxes. But why would anyone smell like Voidclan? She heard a commotion outside, and went out to see what was happening. And she saw... Voidclan foxes at the border. "HEY SNOWY!" Called a black fox with blue eyes and a crescent moon shape on his forehead. "SO, WE'RE HERE TO-" "Stop yelling, I'm coming!" Snowrapture scowled. She went over to the border. "Let me try this again." Said the black fox. "HEY SNO-" "1, you don't have to yell, I'm right here!" Snowrapture growled. "2, don't call me Snowy. What do you want, Emptiness?" The black fox sat down, and the other foxes behind him just walked around like they were lost. "I was trying to tell you." Emptiness frowned. "We're here to claim a kit that was lost to us some moons ago. I have no idea what his first name is, but his last name is Shadow. I think Starfly mentioned his name once. Midnight? Starlight? I can't remember. And I can't ask her either; she's gone. But, as we have a claim to her kit - should I say, MY kit - and I know you have him, I'd like him back now." Snowrapture looked baffled for a moment. "You have absolutely no claim to Twilight!" She shook her head. "Actually, foxy," Emptiness pulled out a book labeled 'Claims I Have To Twilight, (even though I didn't know his name)' Snowrapture slapped the book out of his paws. "Books don't even exist!" She snapped. "And you have no proof that Twilight is yours!" Now Emptiness shook his head. "Wrong again, dear." He sighed. "Bring Twilight to me and I'll prove that he is of royal blood." Snowrapture scoffed, and turned to Snowfall, the medicine fox. "Bring Twilight." She said. Snowfall nodded and went to the apprentice den. A few moments later, she emerged with a dark blue fox. "Uh, what's going on?" He asked, seeing all the Voidclan foxes wandering around the camp. "Twilight!" Emptiness exclaimed, immediately recognizing the fox. Twilight stared, having never seen this fox before. "Now, allow me to prove this fox is my son," said the black fox, giving Snowrapture a smile, to which she blushed and growled. And Twilight's confusion grew. Emptiness grabbed the young fox's paw. There were light blue paws pads... and a star mark on the middle one. "See?" Emptiness smirked at Snowrapture. He revealed his own star-marked paw pad. +Impossible+ The snow-fox thought. +How can that be?+ "Well, I believe that's evidence enough," Emptiness said. "Now, Twilight, we're taking you home." The Voidclan foxes, suddenly attentive, swept around Twilight. There was a burst of light. "Wait-!" Cried a flame-colored she-fox, rushing out... they were gone.
