2-14-23: Welcome to The Judgmental Monke Puzzle Version 1.00! "The Release Update" Use the Arrow Keys to move! And make sure to read the directions too! This is my first time with anything based on coding, so expect more quality gameplay and features as the game updates. In fact what I released now as "Version 1.00" is FAR from what I originally created, and that's what's awesome about this project, the learning process. Anyways, enjoy! And look forward to future updates! They will be documented here! Enjoy the game! Press P to Activate Smug Mode ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-14-23: Welcome to Version 1.01! "The Fixup Update" Basically just fixed some dialog and added + fixed a bit of code, that's all! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-15-23: Welcome to Version 1.10! "The Quality of Life Update" This update added a bit, first off, I made it so you can move with the WASD keys. And I expanded the puzzle a bit, making an extra screen to add to the problem-solving and difficulty of completing the puzzle. I also added some quality of life things, like each new screen of the puzzle starting off with Squirt staring at you as he's talking to you, or having the background switch before Squirt speaks to you. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-15-23: Welcome to Version 1.20! "The Title Screen Update" I added a title screen with a working start button, it took a while to figure out and create, but what's awesome is that it worked, and I am proud of myself this update, I learned a lot of new and cool things! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-15-23: Welcome to Version 1.21 "The Fixup Update 2" I added music to the Title Screen, and made the ending music loop infinitely. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-16-23: Welcome to Version 1.30 "The Animation Update" I fixed up the Title Screen music, as it wasn't playing properly when starting the project. I also made each of Squirt's movement animations two frames, making it more alive. (This works for arrow keys and WASD) ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-16-23: Welcome to Version 1.31 "I Hate Music Update" Just added a mute button for the music lol, that's all. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-17-23: Welcome to Version 1.40! "N0 Ch3atOnG1!1! Update" I added two new major changes, first off, anti-cheat so you can't spam keys and get teleported straight to the end, and a volume select where you can select volumes from 0%, 25%, 50%, 75%, and 100%! These were both quite hard to implement and complex to make, but I'm happy I finished! ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-17-23: Welcome to Version 1.41! "The Fixup Update 3" Made it so after attempting to access the binary puzzle early no cheatong screen didn't have any music, it used to still play the music. And I also added a back button to return to the title screen at any moment in the game, but if you go back from the end, something funny happens. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-18-23: Welcome to Version 1.42! "The Fixup Update 4" Back button in volume select now works, it used to just revert the song to its normal volume when it was clicked, but it's fixed now and gives you the correct value that you click. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-19-23: Welcome to Version 1.50! "The Memory Puzzle Update" New Puzzle! And it involves your memory, I also made it so you can't access before you normally could with anti-cheat ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 2-20-23: Welcome to Version 1.51! "The Fixup Update 5" As the title suggests, I just fixed some stuff with the memory puzzle and the back button. ------------------------------------------------------------------------- 3-3-23: Welcome to Version 1.52! "The Optimization Update", I optimized the congrats screen at the end so it isn't super slow anymore. -------------------------------------------------------------------------
