I'm sol, an artist here on scratch. i figured i should make myself a project to introduce myself and outline my boundaries a bit :] i am a nonbinary transmasc person, and though my sexuality labels are a little more complex, i identify as bisexual. you can call me by any of my main characters' names but i mostly go by sol, celestial/cel, jay, and bug. my pronouns are they/he or any sky-related neos! my favorite hobbies are sewing, writing, drawing, and overanalyzing dragons! i would absolutely love to have discussions with anyone over these things! some of my favorite things within those topics are sewing dragon stuffies, writing angst/comfort or just flat out angst, drawing dragons and using warm colors, and researching real-life animal flight mechanics and applying it to dragons, either proving dragons can't fly or making new species that can. my favorite color is yellow, and my favorite animals are albatrosses, ospreys, marbled polecats, cheetahs, blue tongued skinks, harvest mice, and mediterranean house geckos! utahraptors, too, if we're counting extinct animals. my favorite shows and movies are httyd #1 and #2, httyd race to the edge, legend of the guardians: the owls of ga'hoole, the bad guys, rapunzel's tangled adventure, ninjago: masters of spinjitzu, ninjago (netflix), and turbo fast! i generally really like xenofiction movies+shows and would love any recommendations :) i currently have two pet cats and hope to one day have a gecko, a bts, a mouse, some madagascar hissing cockroaches, or a lahore pigeon. some of my past pets include a green anole, a dog, various backyard bugs, and a very sweet roach named Tyrannosaurus Roach. ✦ i have three other accounts here on scratch, one of which is a storage account for my characters (@storage-oats) and two of which that will have projects with some of the characters i post here, and i may accidentally post the same art piece to multiple accounts. please keep that in mind before accusing me of stealing or anyone of stealing from me. i can have a lot of trouble with tone, if you're having trouble understanding me please remind me to use tone tags and if i'm having trouble understanding you please try and include some form of tone indicators; tone tags work best but emoticons, exclamation marks, ect., work fine. i have absolutely no issue with being corrected and actually would very much prefer if y'all would correct me if i make a mistake, especially if it's something bigger that really should be corrected. do not put me on any wishlists! seriously! unless you're a friend or mutual, i am uncomfortable with being on artist/designer wishlists. this extends to dreamie folders/studios/lists; my characters are /my/ characters, not trading chips. you can still really like my art or designs and put me on any sort of /private/ wishlist, just don't tell me and don't tell others. you can reference my artwork if you credit! but please don't reference my characters, and only reference my designs of they belong to you. don't invite me to studios without asking first unless you're a friend or mutual. ✦ faq: "what programs do you use?": i use opentoonz for animating and gimp or medibang for drawing, unless otherwise stated in the description of the piece! "how are you so good at art?": two words: experience, and experimentation. i've been drawing for almost ten years! and going out of my comfort zone and trying new things helps a ton. don't stick to one thing you think you're best at; experiment a little!
