BACKSTORY_______________ Shortkit was born to his mother, Briarhshade and his parent, Lightbranch along with his brothers Ripplekit and Whitekit. His relationship with Ripplekit was great, he played with Ripplekit often. His relationship with Whitekit was alright, he explored the camp together with Whitekit. Briarshade was lenient, while Lightbranch was harsh. Shortkit was very close with Lightbranch and never bonded much with Briarshade. He started a friendship with a kit called Cloudykit, but it turned into dislike that lasted for quite a long time due to him being too careless. They avoided each other for the rest of his kithood. Shortkit reached the age of an apprentice and became Shortpaw. He received Cloverstreak as his mentor. They were tough on him, but always had Shortpaws best interest in mind. Cloverstreak was mostly focused on running while somewhat neglecting hunting. Shortpaw realized that he had been unkind to Cloudypaw and apologized to him. They made up and overtime became friends. Shortpaw became Shortstem, Ripplepaw became Ripplebranch, and Whitepaw became Whitepuddle. He met a loner called Shred during a border patrol. Insted of chasing him off, Shortstem decided to talk to him for a while. They got on well and Shortstem often sneaked out of camp to talk to him, slowly falling in love. Unfortunately, Shred didnt return those feeling and stopped talking to Shortstem. Shortstem developed green-cough during leaf-bare, spreading it through the clan. He got lost outside of the territory after an enemy clan cat chased him away from it. Thankfully, he managed to find his way back. Shortstem got an apprentice of the name of Heatherpaw.
