SHADOW IS NOT THE FATHER - Theory Debunk

Many people theorize that Shadow is Agate’s real father. I am hear to explain why I think otherwise. Sorry if this ends up sounding like a rant, I am brain dead and had a very rant-inducing day(aka every day). Btw the different parts add onto each other so read the whole thing before reacting. First!: Neither Crystal nor Shadow WANTS pups. This is a big one for me. It is canon that neither Crystal nor Shadow want pups, it was canonically confirmed when Shadow filled out Lapis’s form and confirmed with Crystal through her mass discomfort with having pups shown through Fate and Crystals. 2. They wouldn’t do that. Okay, you may be thinking “Wait what? That isn’t a valid reason” but it is. Think of Crystal and Shadow’s personalities. They are both kind and caring and despite everything they both care about fox. If Shadow was the father that would mean they both betrayed Fox and also that Crystal is a cheater. They are not those kind of people(wolves). And there isn’t even a reason why they would do this against his back since they didn’t want pups. 3. Crystal dislikes Shadow. This is something less noticeable, but Crystal does dislike Shadow during the time of the recent two fate chapters, aka the time Crystal discovered she was expecting. In case you don’t know/remeber: Crystal confused to Shadow but Shadow refused in a rather cold way, due to Fox threatening him. Crystal and Shadow then had. An argument leading to the downfall of their relationship. Since then, Crystal hasn’t been very fond of shadow, as said in chapter ten where Crystal agrees with fox on shadow abandoning peopel(wolves) a lot, showing how she somewhat dislikes him. She is still nice to Shadow although, as them shown having a friendly conversation, but at this time (ch 9-10) there isn’t anything romantic going on between them, this only happens when Shadow realizes he no longer has to stay away from Crystal, since foxglove is gone. 4. The human Crystals debunking. A reason people are saying is on the human version of Crystal characters Skittles made, Fox was shown having a relatively pale complexure, Crystal’s was tan, and Shadow’s was a darker tan. Agate is shown ahve inf a compelxure somewhat in the middle of Crystal and Shadow, leading people to further believe. The thing is, the designs of the human crystals are nit nesssarily canon in TEH sense they directly correlate and mimic Crystals perfectly. Skittles said that the characters are how she thought they would look like as humans, and were mostly made for fun. THSI shows how the characters look as humans doesn’t nessesarily ahve anything to do with there wolf counterparts. 5. Eye see you (sorry this is very long) Another reason similar to 4 is TEH eye thing. Agate has a very similar eye color to Shadow. However, I ahve an answer to this: Genetics and personal design. I’m actual genetics it is possible to have an eye color different from your parents. The gene simply could have skipped a generation. And with is is possible with Agate and shadow having similar eye colors, since Fox and Shadow share a biological parent, it is possible they alt another a set or had the gene to make there eyes orange(which is the color), and it passed on to Shadow, skipped over Fox, and became Agate’s eye color. Also, taking into account that a lot of times when making families artists dint really pay attention to things like making families look like they are actually related, because that could require a whole family tree to be made of each character. Some do, but some like me are kinda lazy, and oftentimes things like different eye colors parents don’t have show up. Thus them having similar eye colors could be purely coincidental when Skittles made her design. 6. Pattern Shortest thing yet: In the foster of Agate’s birth, Crystal mentions that Agate has markings similar to Fox, markings that Shadow doesn’t have even similar, to. My explanation of 5 could be an excuse against this, but it was obviously made so they ahve similar markings, and in genetics it is less liek for things liek pattern markings to skip generations, since it has direct correlation with what breed the wolf is.(this wasn’t as shirt as I thought lol) 7, I had something for this but forgot lol.
