''Look kae! Look at all of the pretty crystalflies!'' The young redhead exclaimed. Kaeya looked up, amazed at how beautiful nature could be. He was used to seeing charcoal trees, with little to no leaves, that were usually grey. Yet, in all defiance, he stood there, looking at trees with deep green leaves, and brown trunks. The stars were shining brightly in the sky, as the Crystalflies danced around. ''We have to catch some!'' Diluc announced, as he soon began to climb a tree. Kaeya looked panicked. ''Get down from there 'Luc! You could fall!'' he cautioned. The young red-head continued to climb, catching two crystalflies before climbing back down. ''I'm fine! See?'' Kaeya was still worried. ''You could've fallen and got hurt! You need to be more careful!!'' Kaeya could've rambled on for hours about how Diluc could've gotten hurt, but he didn't want to upset Diluc. ''Let's get back home, Father might be worried.'' ''Alright... Let's try again tomorrow!'' The two brothers began to walk home together, their bond inseparable. ◉◉◉◉◉◉◉ ''Please... 'Luc.... I can't see....'' Kaeya had planned all of this, for him to be killed by the one he once called brother, but he didn't expect it to be so painful, mentally. The physical pain he deserved, for not grieving with Diluc, not helping him heal over Fath- Crepus's death. For being a lying, disgusting traitor. The emotional pain was just an unexpected bonus to the punishment. ''Don't you DARE call me that name, you traitor. And to think I used to consider you as my brother.'' Diluc spat. The words hurt, sure, but he deserved it. He was a traitor after all. Diluc raised his blade once more, aiming for Kaeya. Finally. Kaeya thought. He'd finally die. Diluc would kill him. He deserved it after all. He shouldn't be allowed to be alive; he was a sinner. No matter how many times he'd deny it, it was in his blood. Somehow, against his will, his arms lifted his blade, clashing against Diluc's just before he got hit. The heavy claymore caused the feeble sword's blade to crack, the crack's only worsening when the claymore engulfed in flames due to Diluc's pyro vision. Snap! The sword broke all the way, its blade cut in half. A split second before the flame engulfed claymore hit Kaeya, Diluc was shoved back by a mysterious force. A cryo shield formed around Kaeya, shattering once it had served its purpose. A vision appeared in front of Kaeya. Diluc glared at him, with a mix of shock and disgust. *No... This wasn't meant to happen. This shouldn't have happened. Why would the gods recognize a sinner like me?* Kaeya thought. Diluc began walked away, leaving Kaeya there, in the rain, with a bleeding eye and a heart full of regret. Their once inseparable bond was now shattered into pieces. Oh, how Kaeya wishes he was a kid again.
